KT Fingerboom!

Yes, that is pretty much how their IDs are made, though koreans refer to them by their real names.

Watching DRG vs Fyling, I don't think Blizzard needs to balance the game for the next 3 months, this is beautiful.

Korean player names make me facepalm, it's like they slap open an english dictionary and point to a random word.
So terrible, Flying? really bro? Really?
A guy named Needless complaining about a guy named Flying? lol, really?

If anything bitch about HopeTorture. And generally the Koreans find a random SC reference to use as their name. Flying is probably Flying because of air units. Generally if you see a random verb/noun/adj because it has some sort of SC meaning.

This isn't even remotely in the same ballpark, you dildo.

Edit: for the most part you're right tenks, I dont think Flying is really a reference to air units but who knows. I guess the same could be said about Bomber, but that fits his play style among all else.

Regardless, I wish this shit wasn't so late, staying up to 6am+ is killing me haha

Yeah I saw those names and EU still seems very open for EU players. Obviously MC is the favorite in the region now but with Mvp playing like shit lately I'm not holding my breath for him.

NA, however, is completely Korean. I can't think of any NA players I'd put into the top 16. Basically every Korean on that list is better than any NA player. Except maybe JYP and Zenio. They're pretty bad.

Since ro32 will be played online, we might see some upsets happen and there's always question whether Stephano will pick NA or EU, though seeing this list, he would have to be dumb not to pick EU. Zenio is the quiet killer, he had some decent results in proleague and I'd still pick him over most foreigners.

I'm having issues finding a win/loss rate for Zenio in Proleague but I'd be shocked if he had a winning record. He can upset here and there in a bo1 but I don't think he's a major tournament threat.

But you're right he's still better than all NA players

I haven't been following this WCS stuff at all, but can one of you guys tell me what happens to GSL then? Do these players that choose NA or EU mean they won't be in GSL next season? This shit is confusing lol.

I think nobody knows, like why the fuck would Taeja who has yet to play his code S games drop out ?! Especially in a group of 2T/2Z where he is a favorite. Nazgul said that he thought he had to pick on the day of the announcement or something like that. I think at first the info was that you have to pick a region and you are locked there for the year, then there is some switching permitted after first season, can't be bothered to keep track of that shit and I'm glad I'm not a pro or team manager. There's also invites in EU/NA, the 2 divisions that have to be created out of the blue, some qualifier tournaments... The odds of this blowing up in Blizzard's face seem pretty big for such a huge investment. The biggest issue imo is that you don't have to be physically present to play ro 32 in EU/NA, if you had to move to another country to play from the start, it would solve a lot of problems.

But yeah, if you go for another region, no GSL for you. The prize structure is also pretty bad, with like 40% of the pool going to the winner, while the top 5 get to play in another tournament for even more money... When it was announced it seemed a bit weird and I'm glad I can still smell bullshit, because the structure and rules seem to be stitched together at the last moment and the community has to tell them what to do.

Tenks: Zenio is pretty much ZvZ sniper in proleague.

What a shitstorm...all they had to do was blindly copy Riot. Lock the regions based on residence and hold a ceremonial offline event at the end of the year where the Koreans can fly in and collect their money while the reality show/streaming based EU/NA scene can promote themselves and their sponsors to an audience that largely does not care much about results.

I guess there's a silver lining here. We'll basically have a mini-GSL that is broadcast in US/Canada primetime and likely on a stream quality that doesn't suck dicks.

Well, Polt's already in Texas and I swear he's been playing on NA for quite some time now. Either way, I assume probably every Korean player's match history looks like that.

Speaking of Polt, I hope he does well, he's still one of my favorite terrans to root for. (It's probably because he can actually speak English lol)
