They are not, with FFE you have +3 attack by the time 2/2 finishes, it's just exploiting the meta. What saved Leenock were those 4 spines and instantly scouting the colossi, shame that the fairytale had to end, because if Nani won, it would be one of the biggest stories of the whole year.

Nani had to pour every single piece of gas into that colossus tech, he certainly couldn't have +3 (he started council during that push)

and if your colossi die, your 0-0 zealot stalkers get ripped apart by 2-2 lings. That's pretty much what happened, he still had a solid army in there and it just melted to those 46 lings. Scouting the robo was obviously key to killing the colossus tech, but I'm pretty sure 7 queens can keep 4 spine crawlers alive long enough to get those corrupters out.

Wasn't HotS suppose to change up the zerg dominance? Noooope.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see the Grand Finals, watched both Semi's though. Dreamhack is usually always a pretty solid tournament overall.

It's a game of tradeoffs, if you open forge you have strong enough gateway units to rip apart the lings without colossi, especially if you ever add archons, that's how good zealots 2-shotting lings are. I can't really blame Nani for picking the strat, but if you timing gets scouted instantly and the zerg knows what is he doing, it shouldn't work, especially since Leenock won the BO war at the start. After the game on Akilon he really didn't want to go lategame.

Same as MLG, the finals had nothing to do with balance, it was pretty obvious who was the more solid player and who had to keep trying to outsmart his opponent.

Watched Bomber vs Taeja g1 and ladder nerds better not steal Bomber's build. That's my build! (ish ... mine is actually pretty different ... but we both open 2rax reaper!)

WTF now g2 and Taeja uses my build and even "proxies" the 2nd rax exactly where I do on Akilon. Get off my builds!

Socke went full foreigner in g2 and 3. He had several obs, but he didn't place them correctly to see MVP coming to snipe his third and then failed to split his forces in G3, even though it's pretty obvious MVP will drop you, the only question was how many medivacs. He also lost his MsC when retreating back and didn't remake it/couldn't use the nexus cannon.
