I never bothered to get any of the Total War: Warhammer games.
is there any point in bothering with TW:W #1 and not going straight to #2? Or is it kind of like Bloodbowl 1 vs 2, where a lot of people wanted to stay with #1?

Went and looked those posts up.You'll need 1 if you want to play the races from it. Look for my posts near the end of one of the TW Warhammer threads for more info.

Two different games, but if I just bought 2 w/o the DLC packs from 1, I'd be playing the newer game, but only with the 2nd round of races/DLC/etc?
Are the campaign modes comparable between the two games? Is it worth playing 1, or just buying 1 and playing everything in 2?
Only thing on my wishlist cheap enough this sale is : Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire - Obsidian Edition
AU$35.58 (so $25 USD) for the complete package. So including the 4x DLC, it's only $6 more than what they're charging for the base game.
Good time to pick it up now that the game is finally "finished".

Chrono trigger is such a good game I can't see it NOT worth $7I have had a strong desire to play Chrono Trigger and its on sale... could always go the emulator route but wondering if the Steam version for $7 is good enough?
