I'm not a subscriber to humble bundle that goes in every month. Just me but I've found the book bundles much more interesting, but I'm not a fanatic gamer like many.

Nah, Origin isn't going anywhere. Their premium subscription still exists there and the DRM for their titles on Steam is Origin, requiring the client to be installed.

Waiting to see if Ubisoft does the same thing lol, both companies have been moving all their games back to steam and epic.

Probably. Their subscription service is coming to other platforms, or at least to Stadia.

its all fake news, every one of their "steam versions" installs a thin origin client (or uPlay, in the case of Ubisoft games) which runs and requires an origin login every time you run their game. All they did was expand the store fronts you can buy their games from, after realizing a ton of people only ever buy games inside steam.
