no, they cant add them either. if they were to be added, then they would be included with PRC while the olympics were going. its like when the Harry Potter series ended and Rowling announced that Dumbledore was totes gay the entire time, but it was never shown or referenced in the books. if you werent included with china, then you werent included with china.

Because the US could then split its athletes into different sub-countries and do things like win 75% of all the swimming and women's gymnastics medals. It is a blatant end-around on the rules restricting the total number of athletes that a country can send to represent them in each individual event.

Next year we'll just enter in the Puerto Rico team, Guam team, American Somoa Team, and then at the end add all the medals to the USA total.

Yeah, and just like Hong Kong, their medal counts are counted separate from the US. If we wanted to be cheesy we could put the people who barely didn't make the US team on the PR team to indirectly increase how many athletes we have compete and win medals. China can do the same thing, put their best athletes not from Hong Kong on the HK team.
