I've got no shame about the fire incident and I'll talk about it openly. My son is a cheeky little guy. You turn your head for one second and he's wrecking havoc. He's amazing, athletic, passionate, and naughty. He liked to watch me cook and he turned on our range. He put a placemat on the fire. Even if I wasn't an alcoholic it would have happened.
When you're in charge of kiddos and they get hurt or into trouble you feel terrible. Of course I thought I could trust his dad with information and honesty. I was obviously wrong.

Naw. He's just got some emotionless autism thing. He couldn't relate and has ptsd (imo, not diagnosed) from his mom losing her mind. He shut down, I shut down. Anyone who is a new, young, first time parent can relate. Shrug. Tried my hardest, it wasn't enough. My hormones made me sad. Not a big deal. It's very common.
My very favorite part was I was able to admit I had a drinking problem and work on myself and my reasons for drinking. Alcoholism is a blessing and a curse.

I have not read this whole thread yet and as much as I would love to laugh at these two I just can't. Due the kids being involved it is just very sad, I honestly wish the best to both of them and most of all to the kids. I implore both of you to get your shit together and be kind to each other. For the sake of your kids act like reasonable responsible adults.
With all that said I admit I may have a moment of weakness and trash one or both of you the more I read of the thread, but what i said above still holds true.

A "Townie" is basically a lighter version of "hick" or "hillbilly" but more specific.
If you went to college in a college town then you had local young people the same age as the people going to the college. Those locals are "townies". Chuckie Sullivan, Billy McBride, Morgan O'Mally and Will Hunting were Harvard Townies. Also a person from a small town or suburb of a major metro area that thinks big city innovations like a metro train or citywide sanitation are "magical" and also "terrible".
