This bothers me more as a former student than as a current teacher. I haven't always enjoyed all the classes I've had to take, but I certainly appreciated being able to prove my worth in them. I'd rather get a shitty mark for a class I know I didn't give a shit about than not do the test and get an unearned "A" (where I know I could have earned it).

What's that? The guy who trained a pug to do the Nazi salute and respond to "Gas the Jews" didn't end up going to jail? You don't say! His life wasn't ruined, then? Oh, he had to pay a fine? And not only did people pay it for him, but they also paid his legal fees as well as a sizable "bonus"?

So, once again, someone who was unfairly targeted and threatened with unreasonable consequences got a ton of public support and even profited from it?

Sometimes there IS added benefit to the forum by "dragging things down here".

When the topic of Sarkeesian comes up again, for example. Or when I am personally attacked and want to defend myself without the entire thread flying into a rage over it. I know there are certain things that fiercely trigger some users, and we ALL benefit from not having those users destroy threads with their bitching.

You said "says you" when I claimed no harm was caused by me quote-linking people who were addressing me, but you didn't actually identify any harm at all. As far as I can tell, the only harm it causes is that it really, really bugs you. Oh, and I suppose Lithose's ego might have been hurt when I defended myself in a place he didn't have everyone's attention, but this forum is hardly in the business of protecting egos, is it?

Anyways, I'm not trying to antagonize you as I already stated I can follow your user-specific rules. If you're going to use "adds no benefit to the forum" as some kind of standard, though (which is kind of silly, since a huge amount of activity here would qualify as "adding no value"), then what value is added with this "No quote-linking people in the Rickshaw" unwritten rule created specifically for me?

None of this has anything to do with politics, it's literally all just a response to you, a_skeleton_03, attacking me personally based on your mistaken preconceptions. Yours is the first post I read after my last post there and I imagine there might be more I'd like to respond to, so rather than risk a whine-inducing derail it's to everyone's benefit if I use this thread to point out the hypocrisy of your post, that you're being every bit as dishonest and disingenuous as you accuse me of being, very possibly with the sole purpose of trying to "get to me".

I don't know why you're so rustled by my posts, and I am not saying that as part of a "Shucks, what did lil' ol' me do?" persona designed to further upset you. I legitimately, honestly and with 100% sincerity have no idea why you would consider me a "piece of shit in every way". But if you'd like to discuss it further, or even just vent a little more at how terrible a person I am, this would be a great place to do it (instead of the politics thread, where your responses to my posts would be more appropriate if they actually addressed anything I said).

I've went into this subject in EXQUISITE detail, repeatedly and over long stretches of time. None of the facts have changed since then. The problem isn't that I refuse to admit something, it's that's you still don't understand the point. Whether that's due to a sincere inability to understand or a willing ignorance (very likely the latter), that's not going to be fixed by me indulging you in your little semantics game.
