The biggest pile of trash ever
Goddamn wife watches this shit. I tried to appease her and sit down and watch an episode because she was trying to convince me it was good, but it's utterly horrible. Probably akin to one of those new Star Wars shows.

I don't understand why people like it.

Whatever she can watch whatever dumb shit she wants to. I'll typically go on my office fire up a Western. I'll just come out to get something to drink, walk by and maybe watch a minute or two, try to engage with her about it, but then all I want to do is criticize it, and then she gets pissed at me.

Women...

So you walk in during her show, watch a minute or two with no context and then tell her it's a pile of shite

That is borderline Chukzombi Chukzombi most posts on rings of power thread but never watched a single episode psycho autistic behaviour

No, I tried watching a couple of the first episodes because I was being nice, and they were horrible, so I stopped. I'll let her watch the show, and periodically wander in when she's watching it, and try to see if it's improved, and the typical conclusion is no.

Go back to my office some indie horror instead. I tried to give it a chance but I just don't see the fascination with it whatsoever. Shows just gay as shit.

So you watch a western, come out to get a drink, go back in, turn off the Western and start an "indie horror" instead?

Watch either. I don't always remember which. I just know I like both.

It's not like she's burning through the show in an evening, so I got time to watch a variety of stuff

It's a bit weird to think this show is a "pile of shit".

It's a *mostly* feel good (until the last 2 seasons) human interest sitcom. I'd say it's not for everyone and I can see why someone wouldn't be interested in it but to call it a pile of shit is... kinda silly.

It's also doubly weird that your wife likes it enough to want to watch it with you, thinking you'd also enjoy it, but you hate it SO FUCKING much that you're actually mad about it.

They really should not make another season of this. It barely stayed on the rails in the last season enough to deliver a tidy ending. Each character experienced a decent arc that started with them being flawed but likable and ended being a more emotionally intelligent, well-rounded person. Them coming back for another season to probably just re-iterate the same tropes probably won't work.

The first two seasons (maybe it was 1.5?) were good to really decent heartwarming. I can't remember the exact moment if fell apart but it was pretty obvious. Maybe start of Season 3? Both of us struggled to get through any of it at whatever point and went from really looking forward to watching to "ugh, we may as well just finish it." I even enjoyed the crazy assistance coach episode.

You have permission not have to necessarily enjoy everything your spouse enjoys. She doesn't like watching the horror movies, so I typically watch those by myself. She watches stupid rom-coms, shit like Friends, what's an all honesty can be funny at times because I was back when TV or sitcoms were at least quirky and somewhat enjoyable, and it's got its own weird classic feeling of a golden age.

I don't have to enjoy a stupid show about caricature of what's supposed to be a southern sports coach running a gay soccer team in the UK. He almost sound like one of those Star Wars people. I just made some comments about it and then you're all up in arms.

I tried to give it a chance and I thought it was shit. I know it's popular but there's a lot of really bad stuff out there that's popular.

The two of us can enjoy different things and there's a lot of stuff that we both enjoy together, doesn't mean it has to be everything.

I know I made a threat about it not too long ago, but Detectorists that's probably one of the greatest British shows we've ever watched together, animal typically rewatch it once a year. It's so much fun.

Hell, I got her to try Battlestar Galactica, and to my surprise she really enjoyed the hell out of it. Point being is you can be honest, when you can share your opinion, and if you don't like it you don't like it.

If you like that stupid show, good for you. Enjoy!

Bleh they chick that plays Bex(ruperts wife) is writing this season, she wasn't a writer on the previous seasons. She is telling her story through Keeley which also happens to be her real name.
"“For me, writing wasn’t something I thought of pursuing so much. It just kind of happened."
You don't fucking say...

Way to ruin the vibe Keeley Hazell.
If she is back I am gonna skip season 4, fuck her.

Yeah, that episode where the nudes leaked was some eye rolling terrible stuff. The locker room scene was some Saturday Morning Special level of bad writing and forced reading of lines. I'm not even sure we finished the show after that episode come to think of it.

I loved S1, but we ended up just shutting it all down...I don't remember what episode, but it was where Nate was being an arrogant shithead for the 4th time in a row after 3 redemptions.
