So help me out FoHbros, I'm a 53 trio SK/BST/CLR and I can't seem to find a good exp camp that also drops money items. Ive been leveling in KC and that's fine but getting real bored of it now, what's another good camp to do? Velks mobs have too much HP, fuck camping HS keys again(spent like 6 hours without a single xalgoz).
Also I've been tempted to ditch the BST and PL a Rogue since he won't get mana regen till 59 and that was 50% of the reason why I rolled him.

The grind starts to become real 53+... you should rotate weekly on the zones you do to relieve boredom...
BTW no one is gonna buy the shit you can camp because they can just do it themselves. Only super high end items sell, I don't even think fungis sell that well. Velious gems are hot right now can probably get a good amount camping otters in CS...

I've done pretty well camping mid level gear and pricing it accordingly, but mainly it's just I get bored endless grinding with no named to spawn.
Totally forgot about otters though.

I just camped HS keys for my trio the other day, and I wish I had your bad luck. At 49 & 50 the exp was real nice, but I got 2 Xalgoz spawns in just a few hours when I was hoping it would take a couple days. I think I'll probably go back there for a couple more levels anyway. So obviously I don't have any advice about where to go at the levels that I'm not at yet.
But about the rogue: I've heard that a good rogue is hard to find on TAKP, and you can't swing a dead cat by the tail without hitting a half a dozen beastlords.

1) This is Velious. All their shit gets resisted because cold
2) Beastlords are horrible to box to begin with, way too many spells to cast
3) They stack horrible on raids, until MGB Paragon becomes a thing

Emu , and even live, seem to have a ton of issues with Survivability of pets and role of the BST class. They also didnt get Zerker right until ...OOW i think.. when they were just a crit machine. Luclin was such a dense and annoying expansion in regards to mob placement it made BSTs kinda suck leveling up, and the tens of billions of HPs on the boss made them suck over time compared to say a rogue or even a Mage. PoPs ROUGH ae's and weird mitigation combined with the lowered HPS and weird mechanics had them kinda suck then. Everything except the tinity sucked in GOD. LDON had a couple of decent spells. OOW seemed like a course correction but thats when I quit and couldn't be bothered to care.

you are mistaking a lot of things here mi amigo...
BL pets are OP 9-30... but 30-58 okay there are other options
59/60 you get BL crack, 50% slow, Savagery, Spiritual Vigor.
I didn't melee with my BL until I got the HS dagger that procs 625 damage nukes, I would just send in pet and heal occasionally. Very easy to box... btw I would never waste mana on cold nukes lol thats irrelevant, also no idea why you think they have a ton of spells to cast when literally after pet is buffed there is nothing to cast until 60 when you're slowing every mob, no reason to use the shitty stat buffs.
With max dex, a Steel Hilted Flint Dagger + Sarnak Lightning Caller + Boon of Garou a BL is SERIOUS dps. Also the pet rapes... My BL pet can easily tank unslowable mobs that double for 280... Plus every raid needs BLs for Spiritual Purity and Savagery (+50 to all resists) so no idea why you think they are irrelevant on raids.

I like the Beastlord class, I've raided it up to level 105, but in Velious, in this era, they are shit. In PoP, Beastlords are the #2 melee DPS class behind rogues (plus all their utility) but you have to work harder than anyone to do it. The old maxim for Beastlord DPS is 33% melee, 33% pet, 33% spells (3-4 cold nukes plus 1-2 DoT's based on your gear) - no class maxing their DPS pushes more buttons than Beastlords in the PoP era. Necros and Rangers can fight for #2 (and ranged classes give fuck-all about positioning whereas Beastlords get that rabid stun-pet-proc-madness).
Before MGB Paragon, raids want exactly 1 Beastlord--all the rest are better off playing Rogues or Wizards or Monks or Rangers or Druids or Magicians for DPS--because Beast Crack is excellent when Flowing Thought gear is so rare.

Update: NToV is getting toward farm status, Aary / Fesh / Dag / Kreiz down and easily done. Yelinak pretty easily stomped since last update and first ST warder died today, probably would have been all four if we had a full keyed turnout. Both top guilds adhering to agreed rotation and no drama so far. Dev team continues to put out sizable patches every two weeks. More players from P99 trickling in every day and asking questions. OOC is no longer global so /join alliance if you want some server chat.
Looking forward to like 6x Dain kills on Friday thanks to shawl turn-ins. We have one guy with four ready to go which is insane, no way I could go through all that trade skilling 4x without some of the later recipe options.

Dear lord, the nostalgia has hit me hard. I am installing this right now. Planning to just casual a bit for the lols. I would like to hit max mind you as I have fond memories of solo farming HS back in the day (with a Monk/Dru/Enc hydra believe it or not). What's people's thoughts on the smoothest to level of the following options.
1) Monk/Sham Iksar duo box. Old school.
2) Necro (probably lizard again as I love me some lizard .. might box this with a CLR).
3) Beastlord (the ezmode option I suppose)
4) SK/Sham Iksar (as I recall SK's get a nice sword quest early in Kunark).
I have never been one for chase kiting so opinions welcome!
