Has anyone played these? Surprised a major developer never picked up this series to create a major brand.

I played the original back in the day, was a pretty fun and simple RPG that had a lot of story and exploration.

I think we talked about them in the indie game thread, or maybe the rpg one.

yeah, I played avernum a long time ago, and was very impressed with it. (at the time...)

But recently played Queen's wish: the conqueror and was pretty unimpressed. Character building was way way too shallow.
