Need For Speed was one of the games available on the promotion when I did it.This promotion starts Tuesday and omits a few games, notably NFS. Might cancel Knack and try Target afterall.

It's definitely working today for some. The Amazon sale doesn't start till Tuesday apparently by the way.
Did you have to use the promotional code? Or were you someone who ordered a game and then got an email? Might be the difference I dunno. When I try to use the promotional code listed on that page, GR8TNESS, it just says this is for a promotion that hasn't begun yet.. When is the promotion? The promotion will begin at 9 AM (PST), 12 PM (EST) on Tuesday, 11/12/13. Supplies are limited. The promotion is valid for a limited time only. Amazon reserves the right to cancel it at any time. If you do not pre-order the qualifying item when the promotion is in effect, or you cancel your order, the promotion will not apply.
I didn't get the code until KZ was in "shipping soon" status, which is too late to cancel the order.Yep, they sent out B1G1 if you had 1 game preordered and a free game code if you have 2 preordered. Really it's almost the same as waiting for the promo, except it doesn't seem like anything would prevent you from using the code and canceling your previous preorders for a free game
I ordered Knack a little bit ago. The order is still not to the Shipping Soon stage but if I get a code when the status changes Ill post.has anyone tried placing an order for killzone today and see if you get a promo code... kinda weird if they don't, since anyone who orders today or tomorrow a ps4 game would be screwed.
I normally love dealing with Amazon, but I don't like the way they're handling this either. The games I want aren't included, and I think it's ridiculous that anyone should have to wait. Are the games really going to sell out? I don't think so... I'll hold onto my pre-orders for a day or two, but if they aren't included by then I'll cancel and try to flip the system on launch day.Can I just take a moment and say that this is why I love Amazon?
They are giving people who already preordered at least one Ps4 launch title two days to get their buy 2 get 1 free orders in before opening it up to the broader public where it will probably sell out immediately.
Even though I did the Target deal this morning because it was convenient for me and I'm happy, and so am not taking part in this promotion (I was just putting games in the cart and testing to see if the code worked yet, wasn't going to finish the order process) this is why Amazon is crushing everyone they come up against. They are just amazing.
Such a great company.
Say it aint so!Well I drove around town and found real ps4s and xbones to play for myself, what a fucking waste of time. They could have told me next gen was a hoax and all the games were running on hidden xbox360s and i wouldn't have been surprised in the least. The graphics are abarelynoticeable improvement over 360/ps3, but only if you'rereallylooking for it and not trying to play the game at all. The ps4 controller is still shit compared to the 360s and the xbone is just a 360 controller with vibrating triggers I'd disable and forget about after 15 mins of play. What the fuck is with the 2 min load times on these turds? both systems were running 100% off their internal hard drives, what the motherfucking fuck? They weren't shitty little kiosks either, the ps4 at fry's was hooked to a nice expensive 55 inch hdtv with a crisp and even backlight and no fucking lcd display artifacts, the graphics are just shrug-worthy.
Also, all you fucks that pre-ordered Knack without playing it...hahaha. Worst platform game i've played in years, graphics and gameplay are shit. If it cost $1.99 on the playstation3 store I would have felt raped out of the $1.99.
After how worked up about this "next gen" shit I was, i'm really pissed off now. I guess the xbox one voice control for netflix and hulu plus was cool...I'd totally be willing to pay...about $75-$80 for that =P.There weren't any lines to play the fucking things either, only two people even looked at the ps4 while I was playing it. One guy said "Is that really the ps4?" I answered "yeah". He said "oh =/" shrugged and walked away. I tried handing the controller to the other guy that walked up and he just said "nah" and walked off. >
How many of you have actually played these fucking things? If you wanna see for yourself in the austin area you can play the ps4 at Fry's on north mopac. The xbone is at the microsoft store in The Domain. Prepare for fucking disappointment.
I pretty much posted the same thing last night sans the controller complaints, I think the ps4 controllers are fine and not shit. But yeah Knack just seemed mediocre. Maybe because it was a demo.Well I drove around town and found real ps4s and xbones to play for myself, what a fucking waste of time. Strange and maybe it was the TV they were using but the game just didn't appear to be running in 1080p. I can get sharper graphics from my 3 year old non gaming laptop.Szlia;_sl said:Visual fidelity is a log function of computational power, so that's not a big surprise that the visual gap between generations is smaller and smaller and that the generations themselves last longer and longer.
Oh I'm a new customer. I've been with Xbox since the beginning but I decided it was best to sever ties with them after E3. My brother and I took some time off of work Friday and next week so we could play video games like giant children. This is the first console both of us will have - he's always had the Playstations.Note that the 30 days of PSN that comes w/the PS4 is for new customers only.
