ha, doubtful. They'll probably make something like best buy did and sell the system+ 1 extra controller +2 games + 2 years of xbox live gold and justify the rest of the 1k dollars with a game club/game informer subscription and expanded warranty/geek squad shit. I had the same girl giving me the sales pitch at both launches, I guess it's a mandatory pitch since she knew i wasn't gonna buy any of that 1k bundle shit after i laughed at the very same pitch at the ps4 launch. >;p

At the ps4 launch I had a sinking feeling in my stomach they were gonna try that shit on the launch line. There were 36 people in line and they only had 28 extra ps4s. I was gonna seriously lose my shit if the people at the back of the line got priority over the rest of us by buying the 1k bundle. It's what i would have done if i were a satan's-cock-loving evil retail manager.

Fry's did that for ps3's when that launched. They're essentially doing what the scalpers are, evil pricks.
I don't think its worth spending the $1k, unless everything in that bundle is what you are looking for. Again, I don't remembe exactly what was on that list, but it didn't seem offensive to me (no real crapware). They aren't raising the prices on anything, just making you buy more then you might've.
I personally would/am (still on the fence) waiting for another shipment or two or three.

I own both as of today. I only got the Xbone for KI(I'm such a diehard KI fan it isn't even funny) and I find the PS4 a better console for my tastes. I don't care for any of the TV stuff as my Directv box does a good job of doing what it needs to do and I don't need an Xbone to help it out. The Kinect stuff is still too early for me to comment on. The voice commands seem cool but I need to have more time with the system.
Controllers...PS4 right now by a mile. The Xbone controller seems cheaply built and I don't care for the D-pad. The first thing it reminded me of was the Ouya controller. I love the analog sticks on the Xbone controller though and I feel they are better than the DS4 controller. The extra length on the sticks are what make them better to me.

My ex was telling me her bf and his mom bought 3 today in Chicago. I dont know. Today on the radio (in indianapolis) they gave out the top 5 christmas toys, and ps4 made the list with skylanders/disney toy shit. No xbox on that list at all.

i'll check with my neighbors wife, she's a walmart manager and said her store got a small shipment of ps4's yesterday they are holding for black friday. I guess a lot of stores are doing this, to try and get people to come in and actually shop in person instead of online. I think all the yield rumors for xbox one were all wrong, it seems both PS4 and xbox one are pumping out 1 million units a month each from Foxconn in china, and both started around the same time - all the PS4s sold in NA launch were from Sept 2013 from Yuntai (Foxconn), and I think all the xbones were the same.
Assuming all the Oct lines went to Europe for PS4, that leaves a big chunk of Nov split between the two assuming they air shipped them out in mid November (container ships take around 6 weeks). If they do churn out a good number of boxes for black friday, you will also see resellers panic and return a lot of their stuff adding a lot more supply to the market. There are currently over 7000 ps4s on eBay and thousands on craigslist, so its a significant amount.
also don't forget for PS4ers, Gamestop and amazon will both be selling PS+ 1 year cards for $30 on black friday ($50 normally).
So i was loooking at the list on Gamefaqs of the games coming out, and we better enjoy what we have for a good bit
