Please... Not just ANY cod, this was COD 20, the most revolutionary and ground breaking CoD title ever, I mean, they had a dog...and split the multiplayer population among 4 different consoles, that's TWICE as many consoles as CoD 19, the game was a no brainier to sell 3 times as many copies as the last CoD because everyone is going to purchase it multiple times on each new console until they figure out which group of segregated friends list they enjoy playing with most.. Console generation dead, 2 weeks, tops.

I'm not sure who was claiming to be a victor in the debate, as I didn't really see a debate.

console gaming is now a bigger industry than the movie industry (and not really given enough credit), even though I am a total pc master racer console gaming still completely dominates PC gaming. The only real argument you can make is that if you are future looking, the limits of console gaming are clear - 250m users worldwide is pretty much your CAP. In comparison mobile gaming has a cap of BILLIONS of users, and the initial investment is super low (which means the competition is fierce too - wru Zynga?).

either way its a good time to be a gamer, at least no one talks about farmville anymore. hopefully candy crush dies soon too (can you believe that fucker makes over $1 MILLION a day)

I still play Warframe occasionally on mine but other then that and using Amazon Prime for Dora the Explorer (Screw Nickelodeon or whoever for taking it off Netflix) I haven't got much usage out of it. Had high hopes for Thief but it didn't pan out. Infamous Second Son is looking NextGen though and that's only a few weeks away.

To be fair, it is bigger than the ticket sales for movies, but still a lot smaller than tickets+disk media+streaming+tv rights. Also, the video game industry is impressive when it comes to money, but no so much when it comes to units compared to movie ticket sales (for instance, more people have bought a ticket for The Lego Movie in the US than bought a copy of GTA V).

Back in the early '90s there was in my city little communities around video game import shops. There was a guy who had a Mega CD (japanese Sega CD) he was very proud of, but most of the games were garbage so we would always make fun of him "Dude, when are the good games coming for your console?" and he would always respond "Soon! There is some good stuff coming!"

Saying there will soon be good Kinect games, reminded me of that.

That said, the Mega CD ended up having several good games (Sylpheed, Switch, Lunar). I doubt Kinect will ever be able to say the same.

I was just told, via some one who was talking to Kinect team in the Xbox Design building, on the MS campus, that they know Kinect doesn't have anything driving its need. I was then told that they are working on a specific game right now that is their answer to this problem. I have no idea what it is because of NDA reasons, but at least they know they need something big to make it seem like something everyone would want attached to their Xbox.

Once again, I don't have any reason to lie. This is via the Kinect team, so it could be a huge fucking flop. Who knows, but maybe there's hope for us not counting pixels.

They're also pretty excited about Titanfall.
