KI had 10k people watching the Finals at so cal regional last month, and they didn't even announce when the finals were going to happen due to scheduling change.

Clearly the Fighting game community does not agree with you.
I am not sure i agree with your logic on that one, this is anecdotal i know, but i turn on the stream on finals sundays and just watch the whole day, i only want to see high level play no matter the game. Oh and to see Chris G lose.

The fighting game community is going to go with the best of the ones available, that's a given - it's the best of a shitty pile of games - it's a 7 sitting on a pile of 5's not a 10 because everything surrounding it is shit.

10k people watching really doesn't mean anything - that's probably most of the fighting game community these days because of how many shit titles they've had recently.

The facts are the FGC says it's a good game from the pros, all the way down to it's viewership count.

It's also trending higher every month on the competitive scene, and has been added to almost every weekly fighting stream.
You don't do that for a shit game ,I'm sorry, and the FGC is insanely picky.

Wrong there are so many decent fighters out right now, and more incoming.

Everything from KOF to Gundam vs full boost. Yet none of them get close to KI numbers.
Your definition of shitty is laughable. Just sounds like you hate the genre if it's not SF4 or Mahvel baby

wow a whole 7.25 posts per day! What would I ever do with that time If I got it back. Oh, yeah, lets watch a shitty movie, or play a shitty xbone!
Only if a website makes that decision for you first. Good little sheep

At least this little sheep is on the winning side. You are clearly losing, and now trying to justify why you made a shitty choice.

Wait.. so I'm supposed to read a synopsis and see movies based on that? I mean, I'm guilty of that.. but that's a shitty waste of money sometimes.

Not talking my tastes - clearly fighters don't resonate with me anymore with how ADHD they've gotten (remember I was a VF fan - SF/Marvel are still in my "bane" range, personally) - talking EVERYONE'S tastes. They don't even sell well enough to be plentiful anymore, remember there used to be two or three coming out a month back during N64/PS1/PS2/DC eras because the genre was popular? Now there's just slightly beyond that a YEAR - that dropoff doesn't occur unless people just aren't buying the games, which they're not.

They're college games mostly - once you're out of dorm age the number seem to drop off drastically from what I've seen. (And the occasional person trying to relive college days - like our Shadowrun GM who let us try KI at his place - he's making $75k in a $1300/mo apartment and is looking for a third roommate for his place because he wants people around living with him, not because he needs the financial support... [hell, he was offering to buy me a new car to replace mine when I was whining about having to get it repaired because he thought I meant it was going to break the bank for me... when I just find the whole process annoying not because the money is an issue... he's clearly got cash to burn...])

Winning side haha. Ah I love these marketers they are genius, they way they manipulate society is amazing.
There is no losing side for me because I love gaming. I'll leave the platform arguing to the peasants.

For the peasants have very limited funds to aquire such nice things, so they must argue they are winning somewhere in there lives as they count thier. sheckles so they can make rent every month.

This peasant does all his gaming on one of the two $1500 PCs I built. But my kids do have the PS4 because clearly its superior. Good luck with your xbone, xbro.

Hah, you were that guy who claimed he knew everything about KI after playing it for a couples of hours. And then we posted videos on how wrong you were on every aspect of its mechanics, and you folded like a bitch.

You are no fighting game fan imho, you are some casual.
FGC is doing better then ever. There are more streams, bigger audiences, more tournaments across the states, and larger POTS which brings the pros to everyones states.
You have no clue what is going on Grandpa.

O your kids play the PS4 now haha.

1500 isn't shit for a PC anymore with video cards costing half of that, and 1 TB SSds going for 500 bucks still.
Unlike your broke ass, I have everything. =)

600 bucks is nothing, if that is what breaks the bank in your world you need to give up gaming completely.

More streams than 1998 when streams didn't exist? How the fuck could that happen?! And I'm not a fighting game fan anymore - I tried coming back after your comments, and you're right - they're ADHD crap now.

PS - Pretty sure there's not 50k pots running around for fighting tournaments - I still have my poster from my one I went to back in 1998 here that had 50k total in winnings available that I attended. Not to mention even if there are (which again, I doubt) inflation would actually mean you'd need close to 100k to be comparable. And with streams and such monetizing a bit more they probably can afford more prize support on less interest anyhow because advertising dollars can get involved that weren't available before. (Top prize was multiple consoles and two arcade cabinets plus $1k cash - it was a nice haul for the winner)

PSS - What retard buys a 1TB SSD? You buy enough SSD to load all your primary play stuff that benefits, you don't use it as a storage drive - we gonna start talking about gold plated toilets and diamond encrusted butt scratchers while we're at it that are impractical luxuries with no real additional benefit to anyone that uses their brain? I've got tons of money and would never waste the money on a 1TB SSD - my 256s are more than enough to cover my OS, two MMOs and at least 5 AAA PC titles at a time without having to swap which is overkill as it is. (And half those AAAs don't benefit from being on a SSD - but I do tend to be lazy about shifting them to D: in Steam)

Oh, god, here we go. Clearly you are superior with your 1Tb SSDs and wasted money video cards. Also, I havent played consoles since the 90s and SNES. Kids told me they wanted PS4 and I got it for them. And $600 is a lot for a kids present, no matter how Wakandanrich you are bro.

Even 5 years ago there was barely any coverage, this shit has blown up in a short amount of time WORLDWIDE. But keep telling yourself it doesn't exist haha.

You have to be joking... You are really out of touch.

The demand for ANYTHING via Twitch and the like was zero five years ago. People had worse connections than Sean for average people five years ago - streaming was impossible on those connections.

(Hell, Twitch started in 2011... the most popular streaming example didn't even EXIST five years ago. Wonder why it's so much more popular than before it's existence...)

PS - Not dissing on you Sean, just you're an easy example of how bad some connections are for streaming these days on this forum. And your situation isn't exactly a rare case - my market is awesome for connections, when I move I'm probably going to be in a similar boat if I'm not super close to Cape Canaveral in the county I'm looking at...
