Ha yeah. They do. They think all the consumers in the world are dumb as rocks. They can increase all resolutions of games to 1080p now because without Kinect sucking up that 2% of GPU resources it frees up more room for the games itself! They think that because it is now a $399 price point, it will match Sony and therefore it will be easy to choose the Xbox One because the 2 reasons why it wasn't selling was 1) No one wants to say goodbye to their awesome 360's. 2) People saw $499 over $399 and without any knowledge of hardware, decided to just purchase the cheaper one.
They also spin the numbers very badly to fool the masses. The next headlines should read:
Sony: 7 Million SOLD TO CUSTOMERS.
Microsoft: 5 Million SOLD TO RETAILERS. 3 MILLION Probably still sitting on a shelf not moving anywhere.
I went to Best Buy last weekend and I couldn't move 5 feet in any direction without seeing leaning towers of Xbone's littering walkways. Screaming, "Take me... please?"
I am trying to understand if they actually think this, or they just say this to save face to management, or both. I just cannot believe it is solely the first, because if that is the case I would never never thought people could be just that stupid.
