Just got my PS4 from that amazon bundle and it came with a $10 PSN credit in the box itself on top of everything else which was a nice surprise. Have soccer practice with the kids in a bit so didn't get to do anything but setup a PSN+ trial and start downloading The Last of Us, the March freebies and popping in Bloodborne to install. I have to say the initial setup and update to the latest firmware seemed to go light years faster than the Wii U and XB1. Just curious if anyone has the Vita that uses it for remote play; does it work well enough to justify a ~$100 price point? I don't travel that much and don't see any must have exclusives for it so it would mostly be an escape to my bedroom when the kids have friends over device.

yes vita works fine for RP but if you are doing it in the bedroom imo i'd recommend a VitaTV instead, you get to use a DS3 (or DS4 too I think?) and your TV which is 100x better than a tiny little screen. its only 720p but still the controller is way better than the shitty tiny little vita, unless you have girls hands maybe.

Also if you have a fairly current android tablet/phone you can download the remote play app and even pair it with a dualshock 4, its pretty amaze-balls

Hmm that android thing sounds interesting have to try that later on my Note 12

On the Vita, it's remote play is outstanding now. I never get lag on it. I have really good wireless ,and super fast connection tho
Playing games at 60fps is pretty damn cool for a handheld that is way better then anything out there right now.

The new 3ds is a piece of junk imo

I like the vita hardware (except it really needs a 5ghz wifi chip for for my area), but the remote play has been pretty hit or miss for me. Really depends on the game, the main problem is usually the control scheme

Yeah, I agree the controls are ass.

For the new vita at least they are coming out with this.

Sucks for us with older vitas tho. Wish they would have just made some extra bumpers, and made the analog sticks clickable.

Yeah, my hands hate the Vita after about 20 minutes of playing anything. I'm not sure what kind of hands they engineered that thing for.

MSRP is reduced to $40, so sales are going to be pretty nice for it. Just released DLC so probably an effort to get more eyeballs on the game and drive DLC purchases. I'd grab it digitally for that price to give it another shot, wasn't really a fan of the beta.

That's the grip I have, lets me rest my fingers in spot to (almost) comfortably tap the backplate for the triggers.

OTA tuner for Xbox One announced for Preview members, $59. For some reason I thought varying standards or something (RF/VHF depending on market?) were why we never got the Sony tuner for PS3 in the states.

Between that and Sling, inching close to cutting the cord.

Well it's not out of the question. Yoshida has expressed interest in a trilogy remaster but that was like a year ago so who knows.
