ps4 and xbone install all games fully to the hard drive, it only uses the disc for anti piracy/ownership check and reads nothing game wise off it. so digital vs physical doesn't matter at all except for trading and install time, and even that with 20 gig day0 patches it makes little difference nowadays.
i buy digital if its a game i know i will play a lot (beta/owned physical) and play often. i bought gta5, destiny, DA:I, forza, diablo 3, etc physical, traded in after a week, and bought when they went on sale digitally. its great just pushing start on the dashboard and not having to get up and walk to the console like some sort of uncouth heathen who doesn't drink mountain dew.
i've sunk a ton of hours into pretty much all the games i own digitally so its a no brainer. after a year game values are tanked trade wise, so it doesn't matter owning them digitally/physically after that point. The first 2 months though yeah its great buying a game, finishing it, and trading it in for almost (sometimes more than) what you paid.
