I have that stand charger, but never had any issues using the top port. I used a longer cable I got off Amazon, though.

I got a longer cable that came with a grip, and I also have the stand charger (for when I had more than 1 controller). First world problem is the grip makes it so I cant use the stand charger, I have to take it off every time.

Microsoft just stunned us all by announcing backward compatibility for Xbox One - Yahoo Games

Microsoft's E3 press conference is underway and the company kicked things off with a bang. Beginning today, Xbox One owners in the company's beta program will be able to play any one of more than 100 Xbox 360 titles on the Xbox One.

The new feature will launch for the public this holiday season, but not all previous-gen Xbox 360 games will work; Microsoft will have to add the updated games to its store.

And of course, Xbox One users will only have access to Xbox 360 games they've purchased in the past.

I think it all depends. I don't care if the PS4 has backwards compatibility because I have a PS3 and already played all those game. Xbox One have backwards compat is interesting since I never owned a 360.

So it's like Playstation Now? That's not really "backwards compatibility".

I didn't watch the conference for that, so it's all streaming then? meh

Thought they were just going to allow your Xbox gold library to be downloaded on current gen hardware.

I'm confused, they are making you stream the backwards compatibility stuff?

If so Sony wins again by already having that

Yeah, not sure that I would ever use it but it's nice to have I guess. Seems like every worthwhile game is getting a remaster anyways, surprised they didn't announce a gears of war 1-3 remaster collection.

Sony's isn't free, even if you own the games on PS3. It was absurdly expensive in fact back when it launched, no idea if the pricing is more sane now.

As for the MS stuff, back when MS was first talking about their cloud streaming service, it was rumored that there'd be a Windows 10 version of it as well. I never owned a 360 and will never buy an xbone, but I'd definitely sub to it for a couple months or pay a nominal fee to try out the two 360 games I wished were multiplatform (Lost Odyssey and Tales of Vesperia).

It sounded like to me that it was something like that. The games aren't natively compatible with xbone, so there is some work that goes into making an xbone version which is why there is a limited list of games to start out with.

I could be wrong though

Yeah, the Sony streaming shit is pretty much DoA. They (along with the publishers I'm sure) really fucked the pricing.

Nah, you're right. I saw the info second hand and what I read was mostly about the dig at Sony about not having to pay to play the games you already own, so I thought it was just the streaming service MS has been talking about for years. This is apparently real BC, but that also means the list of games is extremely limited to start and there's no guarantee that studios will bother to polish up old games to be compatible.

Full list is onXbox One Backward Compatibility | Xbox

ya Playstation Now is a confirmed crap service. Hopefully the Xbox is better but it wouldn't take much.

Also, the "Available Games" is a bit sparse. There's like 20 games total, only 1 or 2 are big titles.
This what they had on that list, this is it?
