The XB1 to Windows 10 streaming works pretty well on wired and wireless. My desktop and XB1 are both hooked up directly to my router and the notebook was on a wireless n. Desktop I didn't notice that big of a difference between it and the tv but the notebook sort of looked like PS4 to Playstation TV along with some occasional artifiacting on a fast scene. Response time on both was really solid though. Played some Dark Souls 2 and Binding of Isaac and couldn't attribute any hits I took from lag. Only complaint is the controller has to be plugged into the PC in question and the wireless adapter still isn't out. For some reason I thought it would just be working off the XB1 but that probably caused input lag.

Neat - it's supposed to work the other way too, right? I'd forgotten about that.

Not yet, they said that would require keyboard support and suggested that was coming.

The streaming to PC works so much better than I expected. Hoping PC streaming to the Steam Link works just as well.

Indeed I like it to although I wish it would support streaming TV or Video Games when the other device is watching the other option.

Ah ok, that's what I'm looking forward to - will love "throwing" to the TV. Hopefully come Nov-ish when I get my XBone it's it.

everyone's gone to the rapture unlocked at 9pm pst tonight on ps4, i preordered it a while back along with journey. pretty cool game, no combat or anything (so far?) so its more like Myst and stuff than normal game. Great music and atmosphere. I'm told if you hold down R2 after a little bit (8 secs?) you move a little faster, hopefully thats true cuz right now I feel like i move about as fast as a turtle.

believe its a ps4 exclusive, at least no mention of a pc port yet. its by the guys who did dear esther (havent played that yet on pc)

Man XB1 installs slow. The media stuff is awesome baked in though while waiting on installs though.

Looking at the amount of games I'm getting this fall, I need to upgrade my PS4 storage.

Any bros rolling with a SSHD? If so, any recommendations? GameStop has a 1tb seagate one for $139, but I'm sure it can be found cheaper elsewhere

If you can install a HD in a PC then you can in a PS4. Look up a youtube vid on it. It is pretty much just unscrewing and replacing.

Oh well, Vinyard. Looks like you'll be stuck with 500GB then.

installation is super easy. if you wanna back your shit up before hand you will need an external USB drive, you can backup just your saves or all your games too. I've done it to mine twice and it took 15-20 minutes, you will also need a USB drive (or thumb drive) to download the latest ps4 firmware with your PC and then install on the PS4 after you put in the new drive.

I was gonna recommend a 2TB SSHD over a 1TB but it seems like its 2x the price still. If you can see a cheap 2TB 2.5" drive that would be my recommendation, not sure if an SSHD is honestly that big an improvement over just a regular 2TB drive.

thats the nice thing about xbone, can just slap an external drive and away it goes. PS4 really needs that, but PS4 only has 2 USB slots vs the 4 on the xbone

Everything Spronk said.

Super easy. Didn't even have to format it, just pulled the old out out of the PS4 and put the new one in. Took a few minutes to install the new firmware from a flash drive and a few more minutes to install the saved games I wanted. One warning though, the process to install the saved games is retarded and slow as you have to do them individually and can't bulk install. The ui is pretty bad.

another shitty thing about save games (at least back in firmware 2.2 dunno about latest) is that you can only copy over save games for installed games. so if you had a bunch of disc games and traded them away you can't copy the save games back to your ps4 until you install the games
