"Suck" is a bit strong. It's true that if someone wants to be really pedantic about it, your choices have very little effect on the ending, but there's the whole rest of the game where what you did absolutely does matter. It's not like Telltale games don't have the exact same issue, so if you're willing to give them a pass then you shouldn't have any problem with what Dontnod has done here. This genre is all about the illusion of choice, because none of the games would ever get finished if the devs had to account for every single possibility in their state diagram.

My only complaint is that when it's all over there's two ways to resolve the main plot, and the one I felt was the obvious correct choice has an epilogue that is short and doesn't really answer any of the remaining questions. It just seemed unfinished compared to the much longer, yet retarded, ending.

I'd put Tales from the borderlands up against 99% of the indie/hentai garbage on the psn store any day of the week.


However Game of thrones and Walking dead season 2 are pretty week in comparison.
