Yeah for anyone with either a PS4 or a PC (or both) I can't really recommend an xbox one, I barely turn mine on and the exclusive games - Forza, Halo, Sunset Overdrive - aren't really comparable at all to exclusive PS4 games like Uncharted, TLOU, No Man's Sky, Ratchet and Clank, etc. Plus Microsoft's extremely confusing messaging now with "our games will come to PC too! Just really, really shitty ports!" isn't helping at all.

The only thing good about xbox one is the elite controller, it really is fantastic.

Yeah take it from me there is no reason to have one when you have that set up already. Echoing Spronk, any exclusive (If it ever turns out even good enough to buy anyway) will be available on your PC, and if you want the couch experience, just buy a Steamlink for 50 bucks and go to town. The X1 is just a completely shitty console all around. Which reminds me, pretty soon I need to sell this so I can recoup some costs and buy more games for my PS4 with it. I mean, is there ANYTHING coming out on this thing that may be worth holding onto it for?

Only thing I can see is Gears of War but it seems that might even be coming to PC ~ glad I never bought one..

And does anyone know how bad this new "Game" store MS is working is gonna be ? if it's anything like there last attempt I can see the tears already..

It will take some time, some of the larger issues with it are being resolved later this year. g/v/free-sync options, overlays, etc. are coming. Looking forward to the UWP stuff expanding the apps available on the Xbox One.

I'm doing so little console gaming lately that if I were to sell one it'd be the PS4. The Xbox One w/ Kinect is the center of our room entertainment, only complaint is the responsiveness of the Kinect has gotten worse since the last big OS revision so that needs to be dialed in better (or improved in the Slim/whatever new revision they eventually release). Outside of that, Madden, and occasional other purchases like Quantum Break the Games with Gold and EA Access titles give me more than I can get around to playing and can be streamed to my PC - where I'm doing the vast majority of my gaming anyways.

I'd like to do more PC gaming, but with companies doing less physical releases, and my shitty internet (Dark Souls 3 would take me about 2 weeks to download) it's gotten harder to do.

Maybe if AT&T ever lets me onto that line they ran in front of my house... assholes..

mirror's edge beta codes went out, I haven't pre ordered the game but must have signed up for beta. 8.6 gig download on PS4, you'll see codes on twitter/twitch/etc all throughout today if you wanna try to snag one. beta runs through april 26th, game was pushed back to June 7th as well

I can see why they pushed it back, the beta feels very unpolished. The pathfinding for runner's guide in particular needs a ton of work.

Not sure how I feel about open world Mirror's Edge either. I think the game worked a hell of a lot better as a series of self-contained mission areas. I hope you can disable/ignore all the UGC shit too, they really clutter up the world.

yeah the beta was not good. on the plus side its 60 fps on pc and console, so thats kinda nice for fast movement. on the downside its 900p on PS4 (720p on xbone), load times are ATROCIOUS like 20-40 secs and its especially annoying when I found myself falling to my death over and over and over, the open world is weird, the visuals are stylized nicely but it feels like a nintendo game with tons of flat, single-color surfaces, and I was frequently finding myself just bored and wanting to switch to something a bit more exciting.

good $10-20 game, definitely not a $60 game
