I wonder what the price point is gonna be. At $20 its an easy digital buy, just fuck around when I'm drunk on weekends and wanna pretend to be Matthew Mcconaughey and Matt Damon fucking shit up in space

at $60 though... i dunno

Game definitely falls into the over saturated marketing push though, I just don't really care anymore about it

I don't think NMS is going to be very 'niche' at all. I don't expect COD, GTA, or Bethesda numbers, but if it doesn't sell 1m+ copies in its first couple weeks of release I'm gonna be shocked.

The game has been heavily marketed all over IGN for months. Gaming news outlets are tripping over themselves to feed their readers the tidbits of information that have been available. They just did an interview on Colbert, and Sony has been pumping them hard. This is easily one of the most anticipated new IPs so far in this console generation.

The point of a surprise release is to create immediate buzz, and turn all media attention away from the Halo 5 release. It's all conjecture at this point anyway, so take word of a surprise release date with a grain of salt.

I don't see a surprise release, other than some shitty early access release shit, but an announcement for a release date soonish would probably work. And yeah there's quite a bunch of hype and stuff about the game, even though so far imo it's all fucking near vaporware level of bullshit, I'll wait till I see how the game works in reality versus special demo purpose stuff they've been showing around.

Starting tomorrow (10/12) and for a week God of War 3:Remastered will be $20 at gamestop, in store. 50% off, new. totally worth it at that price, can finish the game in under 20 hours and probably platinum it in another 10. really fun game if you never played it before. if you played the PS3 version though I wouldn't bother buying it again.

Anyone know if the $100 get $15 credit promo on PSN counts preorders for after the date? Got Fallout 4 P/O as PSN digital and done $46 this month so would if it counts, might buy something else if not.... (Since it's effectively 25% off something with the "refund")

yes, preorders count since you "pay" for it right now. you had to buy the preorder after the promo started though, it started oct 6th and runs through nov 3d

flash sale on PSN this weekend, metro redux for $12.50 is a pretty dope deal. you get both games metro 2033 and metro last light. not sure about the rest of the games. and remember spend $100 between now and nov 3d and you get back $15 after 2-3 weeks.

Yea, I just bought the PO and the other stuff back to back a few min ago.

And yea, that Metro deal looked nice, shame they had them up for $7.50 each I think a couple weeks ago - haven't played them yet, so paid extra for no reason.

Was debating buying AC: Syndicate to get the discount but looks like I won't need to bother. (Still haven't played Unity due to backlog so...)

you can always buy a year of PS+ for $50 (or six months for $30 etc) to fill out the $100 promo

there will probably be another flash sale too end of the month for halloween so can just wait and see what pops up

So funny story:

I was playing Rocket League on my PC using the PS4 controller wired in. Apparently at some point I hit the PS button to turn on my PS4 and it started accepting controller input wirelessly and then while I was playing Rocket League I somehow bought Destiny and a bunch of other themes and junk...
