At one point we all sucked with the new controllers but we all adapted. I don't believe in buying kbm emulators.

Best to get used to it early.
In 6 months you'll have to buy thumbstick covers because you'll notice the rubber start to wear away on the stock ones. Then, 6 months later, your R2 trigger is going to start to stick and totally shit the bed.

Had my PS4 since day 1 and haven't had a single issue with my control, that said I don't have acid fingers.

The controller QA is pretty atrocious for PS4. I've owned 4, two have had minor squeek/control problems early on. Ones that are good seem to stay good though. I do recommend kontrol freek pads though, make them seem to last longer and you get slightly better accuracy. You could always buy a new controller and then exchange your system controller sayings the new one you bought is defective, easier than having to return your system but you will end up with 2 controllers still.

I've had 2 replacement controllers - only had build issues with my first. (And mind you I dropped it on tile floors a bunch of times first when it comes to the trigger damage)
And even then it still works OK, just not perfect.

So I've had 4 controllers. One is completely unusable, the right analog stick stopped registering movements correctly on the top half of the movement range. Like pushing it straight up would cause the game to act like you are moving the stick in random directions. Two of the others have the rubber falling off, but nothing that wasn't fixed by grips. The last one doesn't have any issues.

Well, no noodle the PS4 stock controllers are pretty poorly made.
You can really see it if you played a lot of Destiny. I've been through a couple controllers. Everything from the Vibration mode to buttons malfunctioning.
I wish they would make an elite controller for the PS4, just for the added functionality of the skuff buttons.

I use the rubber grips just because the analog sticks are annoying on your hands. They also break down after time, but they cost almost nothing to replace ,and you get more then one set.
The strangest thing about PS4 controlers is again displayed in Destiny. Almost all of the stock ones cause weapon jams on the trigger, but for some reason the blue controllers do not.
