I made the switch to Xbone when my ps4 died, haven't looked back and I won't until they release Bloodborne 2 if it's exclusive .

With the Xbox going the route of letting you play games on your PC, I literally do not see a reason to own one unless I'm missing something?

If you have a PS4 for everything else, I agree. I'm currently playing Play Anywhere titles on both PC and Xbox, and am streaming many games that are not Play Anywhere to my PC when the TV is occupied.
Not everyone is interested in digital (which is required for Play Anywhere), so anyone who isn't into that sort of thing needs to still own the console so they can play physical games.
Hope more than Dell has deals like the above, would be interested in replacing our 1st Xbox at that price. Resellers will be all over that stuff.

If all you care about is Blu Rays I'm sure it's fine. However I agree if your looking to jump in you might as well wait. The pro is such a bad deal I decided to just wait for Scorpio too.

Picked up World of Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider and BF1 with the Target deal. already regretting BF1as I'm dropping 2 grand on a new rig in dec or jan. anybody know if they'll allow a swap if the game you wanna return is still sealed? i'd rather pick up something I wouldn't mind playing on console like XCOM or Skryrim (don't care about mods for either).
Target has always been pretty good to me with returning items, just keep the receipt. I've also heard that if you lose the receipt, you can take your shit to Walmart and those hicks will accept anything for store credit.

you can definitely return a game to target and it'll prorate, most will let you swap but its ymmv
best buy is running a promo starting sunday, B1G1 40% off on all PS4/xbox one games. Stacks with GCU, so it would make it $47.99 + $28.79 + tax for two games or 38.39 each when buying two games at a time. A few pennies better than the target deal, as long as you have GCU. Without GCU then target is better.

As an aside - holy fuck my local Target is awesome. in electronics I was immediately approached by two gorgeous mid-twenties girls working there who talked to me about the excellence of the bioshock series And then we definitely didn't fuck, alas. Still, need to head back there for swap and I'm, uh, not dreading it.

Related - Anyone buy the PS4 Pro and get the CoD deal? Thinking about trying to talk a Best Buy manager into the deal so I can return the game to BB/Target and get credit for Bloodborne and The Last of Us.

Ah, I just looked online quick and since I already bought World of Final Fantasy and own Tomb Raider on PC, that left RDR2 as the only thing I could find with the "buy 2 get 1" text that I cared about.

Yeah, I struggled to find a third. might just get Shin Megami Apocalypse if they carry it, though getting a $50 game dilutes the quality of the deal

Watch Dogs 2, Dishonored 2, Horizon Zero Dawn if it qualifies (prob not), Infinite Warfare are all decent options. Remember also that holiday return is in effect, if its unopened with receipt you have until mid January to return stuff.

They are part of the retail equation though so if you do too many returns you will get banned from returns or even buying (takes a LOT of returns though across multiple stores).

Think I'm gonna keep it anyway. If I'm being honest with myself the skill that battlefield veterans doubtless possess when armed with kb+m would piss me the fuck off. Not a shooter guy at all, so it'll be fine on PS4. Overwatch'll be the only PC shooter I'll play.
