Early reports on VR benefits seem minimal at best. Some less jaggies or in a couple of cases updated lighting? I dunno, Pro seems to be more about faster load times.

dishonored 2 is out today too, apparently the pc port is a giant mess but the ps4 pro version is really nice. glad i passed on the game, gonna pick it up when its 50% off or whatever

The Pro plays really smoothly for the most part but only tried a couple games. Couple things I noticed were -

Framerate drops on Bloodborne.
HDCP2.2 issue with my receiver/tv while the resolution was on auto

Other than that, so far so good. Also, fucking A Bloodborne is hard AF.

yeah games not updated for ps4 pro run exactly the same on ps4, the system adjusts its clock speed down unfortunately. Everyone says the game you MUST check out is ratchet and clank, the IQ on pro is apparently amazing.

this morning / last night has been crazy for the NES classic mini, sold out everywhere, lines 20-30 deep in some stores that only got 5 units. Don't think any secondary shipments are coming either. I just don't get it at all, you can install a NES emulator on a goddamn phone and play it 100%, but a tiny box with a controller that comes with a 1 foot cable (no joke) is selling for $250+ on ebay ($60 in store). Hipsters are fucking retarded, I can't imagine any 8-12 year old kid actually wanting to play 20 year old super mario.

I bought one last nite at best buy online (sold out in 2 mins) and guess I'll just keep it as a gift to give to a relative who will know my light shines upon them

2nd best VR (compared with price/ease/games) but not worth the money ATM. It has potential for gimmicky games in the future.


My concern is it becomes the next vita being left in the drawer collecting dust due to no support.

My only VR source, giantbomb has had issues with PSVR and janky motion stuff that wasn;t present with the kits they tried before the launch models they got.

Yeah probably wait 2nd gen VR stuff. Not enough games and tech isn't that great atm I think. That's if there's a 2nd gen, not sure how good the sales were comparing to what they projected.

I got the PSVR and played with it for 20 minutes before returning it. It's ok, but the Vive is much better in every measurable way. All in all, I would say wait on VR period. Next gen stuff should be much better and if the upcoming Vive wireless pack actually works, we should start seeing wireless headsets.

No shit, the Vive is also over double the price plus the powerful PC requirement. PSVR is entry level, great for what it is, and the most comfortable VR headset by far.
