Yeah, it blows. I pretty much just get to surf the web. No streaming anything. Even downloading podcasts gets to be a problem sometimes. I'm hoping Elon Musk is going to save me along with the rest of the world.

I don't know, a bunch of games you can play without patching at least on consoles. Some are shitty coded and you actually NEED the day 1 patch and what not, but a lot work just fine and the patch just fixes some glitches and potential crashes but you could read about them to avoid them. Some also add features and shit but that's not necessary to clear the game.


14gb cap sounds fucking awful though, when my internet went down for a week, I hit my 2gb cap on my phone(cheap plan, don't use internet much on phone) in like 2days cause I didn't turn off pictures on websites. And well Steam fucked me with like a 500mb sneaky autodownload, forgot to turn it off. It's enough to play even online game if there's no patch during that time though. Like back when there were issues with routing on FFXIV I had a VPN I paid by the bandwith instead of a monthly fee, I bought 10gb, played like a month until they fixed the shitty routing, and I only had spent about 1gb on it, maybe 2 it's been a while, but it was nowhere close to all of it, and I was playing 12hours-ish a day. On the other hand, whenever they patch you need to dl several gb so that's a problem.

Bad internet is the worst, I'm moving next year and apparently will have to downgrade back to ADSL for 6-8months until they install fiber everywhere in the town I'm moving to. Mind you, it's still unlimited, but the idea of going back to having to download torrents and them not being done by the time I'm done making something to eat is quite weird.

I would not recommend playing unpatched modern console games. There is a crazy rush to create the master disc with data that is certified by Microsoft or Sony. Often they get that certification and keep that build on there despite having 3 months (or more) of progress made after the disc version was validated.

Do you pay the $270/month for that? Verizon gets rather ridiculous past the 150/150 tier.

From PSN? Steam and Easynews can saturate my 300 Mbps cable no problem, but it took PSN over an hour just to download the 9GB Dishonored 2 patch last night.

Lol no on Xbox. I had to plug in my PS4 because the wireless sucks on it. PSN 9 gig takes 10 minutes and on Xbox 3-5 mins. Steam the fastest.

No it's $160 with a 2 year contract. Comcast trying hard in Tysons/Reston so Verizon will do deals over the phone. It's not common to all neighborhoods.

Its hard to get target to use discounts upon price matched items - it sometimes works though. Much depends on your customer service rep at the time.

Its still boggeling me that the ps4 pro is 100$ MORE than the super xbone and does not have 4k drive.

Uh, there isn't a super xbone. The Xbox one S is just the slim version, power wise it is nominally the same as the xbone. The correct comparison would be between it and the PS4 slim.

I agree with your overall point though that it is ridiculous that the PS4 pro doesn't have a 4K blu ray drive.

I would have picked up the pro for sure if it had it since I don't have a 4K player.

gamestop is offering a 50% bonus on console and game trade ins today for PUR pro ($15/2 yrs) members, PS4 is getting $187.50 and xbox one is getting $150 I think. I'm probably going to trade in my spare launch PS4 for a PS4Pro, wasn't really planning on getting one but at basically 50% off I doubt I'll see a better deal anytime. You also get a free copy of Destiny Collection with the purchase of any new PS4/Pro.

The gamestop 50% bonus is today and tomorrow for PUR Pro (you can sign up on the spot for $15), its on everything - consoles, games, accessories, phones, etc. I traded a launch PS4 for $187.50 and bought a PS4 Pro for +$399 (minus $188), and traded my elite xbox one (swapped in a regular controller) for $190 and got a Xbox One S BF1 Bundle for $299 (minus $190). Didn't really plan on swapping to an xbox one S or PS4Pro but for $300 out of pocket, reduced by tradeins of GOW4, FH3, and a few other games its nice to stay on the cutting edge. The trade in values could drop today so if you are interested I'd go in today. Most of the new games are trading in at $25 base which is $40 after bonus - stuff like BF1, Titanfall 2, Mafia 3, Dishonored 2, GOW4, FH3, etc so a good way to put it towards a console and rebuy the games for cheaper this black friday or in january. They are also offering $150 on a n3DS XL which is pretty crazy, not as good values on vita/old DS/etc.

It took me 4 hours to backup my 1TB PS4 to a USB3 drive last night, and it currently is going to take 7 hours to restore the contents. I could of course just redownload everything too. Xbox One is much simpler, I have a 2TB external driv with all the games so it took me under 15 minutes to login and have it re-sync my cloud saves.

I picked up Megadimension Neptunia V-II for $5 (-90%), and put in a request for them to credit me the price drop for Dishonored since I bought it a few days ago. It's a good port and $12 isn't bad for it with all the DLC included.

I'd recommend Tales from the Borderlands, which is by far Telltale's best game, and is also 90% off. And Mad Max for like $8 is definitely worth picking up if you haven't played it yet.

i'd wait until friday before buying anything, there is an 80% chance of a flash sale on thu or fri that will stack with the black friday sale above. can use the 10% coupon on the whole thing
