Non-official Switch controllers are always limited in functionality. None of them are licensed to have NFC (Amiibo) or even the simple ability to turn the console on with the controller. Most have fairly weak rumble, and the PowerA wireless one doesn't have rumble at all.

I have a Switch Pro and a 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ (G Classic). The official controller isn't bad, other than Nintendo being retarded and not using analog triggers on the Switch, and it uses the derpy Xbox stick/pad layout. I paid $42 for my Switch Pro and after using it for almost a year, I definitely wouldn't pay more than that. The 8bitdo is superior in every way imo. It's cheaper, it's got good sticks and a great dpad, correct dpad placement, nice feeling buttons, and analog triggers if you want to use it on PC as well. Plus PC software to configure stuff like deadzones, macros, etc. that you sync to the controller so it can be used anywhere. Only reason I still use the Switch Pro on my Switch most of the time is because the 8bitdo is the best controller I have for my PC too, and I only have one of them.

Pro doesn't have grips, just looks like a modernized snes pad. Pro+ is the one I'm talking about.

Okay, so I got the psn plus thingie. That's for multplayer, I assume. And some discount. And 2 games free, Titanfall 2 and Monsther something. Ordered Witcher 3 goty disc.

Anything on the store you guys consider essential? Any great kids games I can play with the gals (7 and 3)?

I'm guessing you have played God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted series etc already? If not, immediate buys.

Yeah. G Classic just because it has a slightly different (more textured) d-pad. Was $38 last week, but I don't see any sales on it right now.

I wouldn't even attempt something like Astral Chain without it. Only bad thing about it is you get used to the triggers on the back, like right now when I'm playing Children of Morta and I have evade mapped to the trigger so I can use it without taking my thumb off the right stick. It makes docked mode with a normal controller just about unplayable now.

Assert dominance and tell em to go fucking play Minecraft on their phones. I don't play consoles much, but I walk into the room and kids know they might have to give up the TV!
