Caved in and bought knack with some of the promotional credits left over from amazon. Been playing it with the wife. Imagine her controlling Knack on easy mode when I jump in with knacks little buddy and proceed to smack her then say "this is for not washing the clothes last night" queue the next hour of us trying to smack each other and complete levels whiles ranting about everything under then sun.

Much fun was had.

The part where you are looking to kill what appears to be the last guy (think Mr House from New Vegas) and your boss comes in and rambos your ass blowing your brains out, acting like he won and did what he had to do and credits start rolling. The end.

About the time you are pondering if you like the ending or not (maybe 20 seconds? Maybe 30) you get an interrupt transmission with the Helgast symbol and you are thrust into the game for an assassination mission.

Figure someone fucking raged and shut down the game or whatever thinking it was the ending without realizing it was not.


That, for me, made up for the general mediocrity of the game. It was good with some glaring issues. Still worth a purchase.

Traded in my 360 and PS3 for $200 worth of best buy gift cards.

Probably going to pick up a 3DS or use it towards a XBone since I already have a PS4. Might just hold onto it for half a year when some actual games come out for the PS4.

I hope PSN is less shitty nowadays with the PS4. Regardless of any other metric, playing Madden online on the PS3 was 10x worse than playing it on the 360. It was just night and day in general and not due to just connecting to some people in the middle of bumfuck nowhere with shitty internet.

Probably going to stream the PlayStation Exclusive Aveline DLC pack in a bit, will try out using the PS4's mic and load up the chat overlay too. No PSEye for camera action though.

I don't know the specifics for Madden, but if the match-making uses latency as a factor, a bigger user base should help getting more often matched with people closer to you. That being said, the latest Madden sold only about 25% more on X360 than on PS3. The older the editions the bigger the gap though, so if you troublesome experience was with Madden 07 or 08, might theory might work.

There is an option in the Gameplay options called Network Smoothing or something to that effect. Change that shit to 0 and only play on 5 bar servers (never choose quick start) and you wont experience lag anymore. Game was pissing me the hell off till I found that option.

Yeah I had beaten the game just earlier today. I thought it was cool but not really worth a purchase for me.

On that note, I hate the chat overly.. looks so dumb. And how come when you stream it shows up on your stream screen as well? Seems dumb.


Think I'll get BF4 next, hope it lasts for awhile.
