After finishing Lightning Returns and moving on to Dark Souls 2, I've been playing my PS3 more now than ever before. I got a 360 really early on in the generation but the PS3 was my "winner" by the end of the generation. I haven't touched my 360 in about a year. In fact I can't even remember the last game on the 360 that I played.

This just goes to show you how they fucked themselves with the $500 price point. They lost before they even began because of it. They should of released the xboner without the useless kinect. And sold it separately, like they did with the 360. Maybe bundle the kinect with a game that truly utilizes it, something that does not even exist yet? The entire kinect thing is nothing more than a big gimmick anyway. Who the fuck used that shit on the 360 to play actual games other than maybe communicating with someone with it?
The whole marketing strategy for the xboner was fail from the start. Whomever was championing that shit should of been fired. Everything from the anti-gamer shit with the entire no resale of games, being online at all times, DMR shit that they later folded on anyways to focsing on the media aspects of it instead of games etc... It was a fail nightmare that backfired on them big time.

The fact that it's still selling relatively well after that mess is either a testament to how good it is, or to how little the average consumer pays attention. I can't figure it out. I've never played one so I don't know.
Yet they did fine last month. It's not a rebate that is lasting forever, just a limited time thing to push Titanfall.
I agree they shouldn't have launched at 500,but who cares at this point. They haven't had an unsuccessful launch, they are just not putting out the same numbers as the PS4 for now.
The reason they are doing alright is because the Xbox has games despite how good you think they are.
If you are a console FPS guy the Xbox seems tailored for you. Titanfall, Gears, Halo 2 remake, New Halo, COD expansions early, Plants vs Zombies etc
It's the reason why I feel my PS3 is the best console right now. It has a shitload of quality games most of them free with PSN.
