They're using lizzie as a way to advance the plot again.
All of a sudden she cares that Red is blackmailing Berlin for his wife, one of his very few weaknesses(the other of course being lizzy), but she's not going to let Berlin have all his monies for terrorism.
Doesn't seem like we'll have more of MLP(wife), (no imdb credits) but i guess we'll see.
I think we're probably going back to blacklister of the week now, ugh.

I really don't mind "of the Week" style episodes. I rapidly lose interest in tv shows when they constantly try to one up themselves. It gets to the point things are just silly as hell.

Just started watching this because S1 is on Netflix.
This show by all accounts is bad. Glaring plot holes, fairly annoying side stories and minor characters. Tons of cliches and tropes, treating the audience like we're stupid. But I like it. It's just fun to watch. It's mindless entertainment. It's a more serious version of White Collar (another show I like despite similar flaws).

did you finish season 1 yet? I agree with everything you said, but it definitely turns a corner about halfway through the season and gets much better. not perfect, but markedly better in my opinion.

I will second this if there are any reservations about "finishing" the series... though it does dip after, but then it picks up again, so it's not always flat.

That's what it has been from the start, I highly doubt any one of us cared for any of the the other characters.I enjoy this show...but let's be honest, it should be called the James Spader Show...and pretty much have him as the only character.

I just watched season 1 of this on Netflix, I agree the show isn't super strong and without Spader it's not good at all....but that's the thing, it does have Spader thus it's good enough to be enjoyable.
Going to start downloading Season 2 episodes tonight to get caught up.
