Opening ceremony for the Olympics one of the rowers talks to Jessie Owens, but that's about the only black in the film. It's your typical working class work ethic turns into sports success movie but I enjoyed it. If nothing else they didn't blackwash any of it although I'm sure some micks or wops might be misrepresented.

Movie was great. Old school movie with good old school values. It was back in the day when you had to work hard to get ahead in life and the people that were able to do that were admired. Back when people were proud of their country. They focused on their common goals instead of their differences. It is a feel good story and it's true.

Thus a 57% and rotten rating on RT's.

Fuck this stupid, fake, gay world we live in.

Kind of a non movie. Visual elevator music. A movie about a team no one has heard about in a sport no one cares about.

Clooney should have stayed retired.

Watched it last night.
I am a sucker for underdog movies. This is just a pale imitation of shows like Miracle. It's based on a true story so I am assuming the main dude was really living as a hobo in the cab of a junked pickup truck. That being said they never explain how a hobo scrapes together half the tuition to attend the Univ of Washington. He couldn't afford food but he put together tuition and book money.

Films looks good. They find a way to not race swap half the 8-man crew to black trannies so that's a plus. Of course, the 5 seconds of screen time by Jesse Owens had to include a dig at the US so there is that.

Don't waste your time.unless you are really desperate for something new to watch.
