He's due like 2.05mil next year. You can't pay an aging punter who hasn't made a pro bowl since 2011 that kind of salary. He was team MVP in 2007 though.

Davis is just another of the "younger" generation of players who are realizing the long-term risks of injuries, concussions, etc. There is a life after football and the NFL/owners don't give a flying fuck about you once you can no longer play. I think this is really going to be a pretty frequent trend in the coming years.

Damn, that roster looks like Cleveland got a hold of it. At least that awesome FO is still there... i'm sure things are on the upward trend.
