Matt Flynn has quite a racket going. He's made upwards of 18 million dollars in salary and has only started 7 times.
You can make some serious cash being a mediocre NFL QB. Don't necessarily have to even ever start. Some over paid bench warmers.

This season of Hard Knocks has been a bit lackluster. I will say that every time O'Brien talks about Rick Ross though I laugh my ass off.

Also, I want to watch a new series about this blonde.

I'm enjoying hard knocks so far. I kind of like the douche bag do it fucking right attitude the coaches have. The last seasons felt almost apologetic by comparison

Career backup QB is definitely a dream job. Seneca Wallace made over 12 million during his 8 year career designated as a backup that whole time. Few starts here in there for injured first stringers, but no one brought him in expecting anything but a backup role.

Flynn at least got that monster deal from a team thinking he was starter material.

Why Your Team Sucks 2015: Kansas City Chiefs

Holy fuck?

That's 30 million dollars the Chiefs dumped into Alex Smith and his lacerated spleen last summer. Their return on investment was ZERO wideout touchdowns. ZERO. In a full season. How the fuck does that happen? How can that be? You have to conspire to do this. I'll never get over it. If you can't get a wideout to score over the course of an entire season, you're an awful quarterback and anyone who says otherwise is lying to himself.
And lol:

On defense, the team signed end Justin Houston to a record deal AND Eric Berry has returned from beating cancer. Those are good things. I think every Chiefs fan feels great about those things. They also know all that goodwill will be squandered by Week 3, when a 4-sack performance by Houston is negated by Smith going 20-25 for three yards. No wonder Husain Abdullah prays when he scores: it's a damn miracle. I also understand why the refs penalized him for dropping to his knees after the fact. They were so stunned by the fact that the Chiefs scored that they didn't know quite how to react. THEY SCORED! THEY MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING ILLEGAL!

This is childish but it had me lolling pretty hard. I pictured an enraged hippo.
The most redeeming quality about our coach is that he could probably eat another coach if provoked.

Practice squad player is a pretty good gig too. When I was in the Army, our battalion surgeon rented out his ranch just outside Nashville to one of their PS players. The player told him he was making something like $200k a year and literally nothing was expected of him.

Yeah but that gig can't last for long. If I was on a practice squad, I'd be stealing memorabilia and getting it signed as often as possible.

It's hilarious how quickly Chiefs fans jumped on and then back off Smith's nuts. Reality starting to set in that the guy isn't very good, eh? Interdasting..

He'll probably have a better year than Kaep though.

No one's ever mistaken Smith for Elite. It took a God-level coach to get the most out of him and they dropped him like a needy stripper once they had a younger option. What he is, is better than Kaep.

Getting released was the best thing for Harbaugh's career. Everyone apparently forgets the team wasn't very good last year and would be a train wreck this year even with him. All people will remember is that he left and then the team had a '99 Bulls level collapse
