Honestly the infraction they are accused of was minor in the overall scheme of things, there was no way Indy was winning that day, plus After the balls were adjusted at halftime, the patriots did better.....

It's pretty clear that their punishment is just as much because of their refusal to cooperate as it is for the actual cheating. Also, if players get fined for criticizing officials then the Patriots should get extra punishment for accusing the NFL of all this conspiracy bullshit
