Yeah, it is crazy. Fromsoft has like, never let us down, and yet everybody is turning on them. Reminds me of the AEW audience.

The graphics in this trailer look fine, the framerate won't be 30, and art direction is more important than graphical horsepower when it comes to Fromsoft games. The art direction in this looks pretty solid.

I feel the same way about the Switch. It's a glorified phone from 2015 and Nintendo kinda pisses me off. I'm just glad to finally get some sort of upgrade to it that gets us to something resembling a respectable level. PS4 is still very respectable in power, and Switch 2 is above that, so I'm alright with it. Same way I was alright with the Wii U in 2015.

Would still like to see Nintendo develop another N64-like industry-leading console so that Sony has to play catch-up, but I guess we'll never see that.

I doubt anyone is "turning on FromSoft," but a Nintendo exclusive after all of their similar games have been PS/XB/PC is fucking turbo retarded. I WANT to be able to enjoy their games. But why do this? Like, fucking why? I purchased a PlayStation 4 in no small part because I wanted to play FS games specifically, and Bloodborne was exclusive to PS. Ok, fine, I'll buy one console to play a library of badass games and assume that their games will continue to be available on that console line.

Just kidding, now buy this other console instead.

Get fucked, whatever execs are making this decision.



P.S. Big backlash is exactly how stupid decisions can get averted, so white knighting them or whining about backlash is turbo retarded as well. If they're A/B testing the exclusive part of this then it's in everyone's best interest to yell loudly at them.

A Nintendo exclusive of all things is just extremely annoying. It would be annoying if it was again a Playstation exclusive. The industry has largely been moving away from exclusives.

Yeah, you're right, hopefully it does get averted. However since I'm getting a Switch 2 either way and playing this day one either way, it's more fun to focus on the positives like "new Fromsoft IP"

I think Nightreign is the exploratory project and Duskbloods is the fully-realized extension of it.

Just realized why it's on Switch 2. Because of that stupid Party Chat function and the push-to-talk button. Multiplayer dungeon crawlers will probably be way more playable on Switch 2 for that reason.

Sucks for folks like me who hate being on group chats while gaming. Like Discord is pretty much a requirement while doing anything in EQ nowadays. I'm trying to listen to music and stuff, and would rather just type (TBH I suck at talking with a mic, I either talk too loud or too quiet and sound like I'm mumbling).

Uh ok champ, this is still a stupid exec decision. Why would FS be at the mercy of Nintendo just because they want to pay for something? FS has released some of the most popular and best-selling games of all time, they aren't at the mercy of publishers.

If FS is working on multiple titles and this is just the first one they've decided to announce, then it's just a marketing fail. But until that's proven out one way or the other, they deserve backlash for stupid decisions.

Half the reason Elden Ring was as popular and "mainstream" as it was is because of the simultaneous release.

This is a retards decision because it won't help GENERATE new fans/players, it'll only alienate them. I hope Nintendo paid them a fucking fortune, because they stand to "tarnish" some of the goodwill they've built up.

Guy spent literal years doing videos about how "big reveal of X (Metroid Dread, Metroid Prime 4, next From game) is just around the corner".
