Maybe the disconnect really is just that you've been playing 2h so much it made the entire game so amazing compared to everyone else playing ranged. Yeah, that could be it. That's probably the only disconnect between Blackwulf and what everyone else has experienced.

(My guess is he's such a shill he'll actually say ranged is good, or he'll use this opportunity to try to save what dignity he has left and pretend the problem the whole time wasn't the cock in his mouth, just that he hadn't tried ranged combat yet. Here's the lowdown for ya: I've said, from the first time I've played it, that I think the combat is fun. Dodging, blocking, quick attacks, heavy attacks, managing stamina, magika, throwing interrupts, breaking stuns. I could go on, but suffice to say it is far more engaging than managing a rotation on a hot bar.
I only play 3rd person and I've only played melee. That might be part of why I perceive the combat more positively than some others. Some other possibilities:
1. I gave it quite a few hours and it grew on me. Many people here did not have a desire to put much time in.
2. I'm not a WOW player. I'm not in that clique. I don't value a lot of the stuff I've seen you guys go on and on about.
3. I don't give a shit about internets, so I say what I think and don't try to pump up the popular rerolled.org posters.
4. Maybe my computer is better than a lot of you WOW kids? The graphics were outstanding on my box...
Finally, I'll be glad to acknowledge that I'm in the minority here, but on many sites, there are plenty of people that agree with my perception, so I know I'm not insane. I'm just not part of the circle jerk of angsty dev hate going on around here.
Is the game prefect? Not at all, but rather than say it's "shit", I'll enumerate exactly what I don't like and hope the devs make some changes.
I've heard it compared around here to GW2 and NWN. I've played both those games and can say, with no hesitation, that they are more polished, but far shallower games. There is potential here, and I'll give them at least one game release before I'll write ZOS off like Mark Jacobs and Brad Mcquaid.
Now, if people are so sure this game is complete shit and doomed to fail, why still linger in this thread? There are some sweet cartoon voxel games you can go discuss, or WOW in space...
PS, I hope I cross your mind when you break down and buy this off Steam next spring
