This picture is so true.![]()
This abomination is such a waste of time.
They already confirmed those would be the only two, and Thieves and Dark Brotherhood will be post launch.but they're not talking about if any factions will be in besides the Fighter's Guild and the Mage's Guild.
That's not a bad idea for bringing Elder Scrolls gameplay and multiplayer a bit closer. I mean you cannot have the myriad of unique world states that most decisions in TES game bring about, but if you want to mesh that with multiplayer its a start. Set up districts (GW1 name for town instances) where each of them is representing your major choices (suspension of disbelief required for the begger you killed being back, maybe have them move and make them nameless to ease that). Then have open world areas also in various stages like that, and have each character go into one fitting his choices by default. Override is possible to play with friends. Sorta like WoW phasing taking a step further, but at the same less problematic because the playerbase is only seperated by that and not also by servers. LOTRO did something similar with the book chapters maybe? Not sure really its been a while.Or do the Guild Wars 1 model where towns are a central hub for interacting with players, and then from there you go out and do your adventures, solo or grouped.
This is all they had to do, and they wouldn't have had to hire some reject suck up to lead it either. Heartfire, sandbox, lots of players, explore, have fun. Christ, integrate mega server technology with Skyrim. Add content every month. Done!fuck phasing. Make the game skyrim: mutiplayer add in some unique quests and raid encounters and youll have a hit. Don;t make it like freaking GW1 or 2 and for fucks sake, DONT MAKE IT LIKE WOW.
Are you daft? They are single player games, course there wasn't any PvP.Elder Scrolls a series loved for it's PVE never had any PVP.
Are you daft? Frior said numerous times they are trying to attract the elder scrolls players to the game. Why the fuck would you make a game with a focus on PvP to attract players that have loved the series because of it's single player elements. Example Player Vs Enviroment. It's like trying to attract hardcore COD players to a single player hardcore RPG. There have been 5 Elder Scrolls games if I remember correctly. That's five oppurtunities to add some sort of PvP/Multiplayer. Elder Scrolls fans are screaming for MORE Elder Scrolls not something else. Are you daft? They are single player games, course there wasn't any PvP.
TES is a series (and a setting) known for large scale conflicts between nations, factions and guilds. Having PvP the focus of the MMO is very within the spirit of the elder scrolls.
Whether or not this is a good thing is a matter of personal preference I suppose, but Frior is just doing what he knows (he's already admitted to having no imagination).
