Well, Utnayan/DMK - I passed on Aion based on the fact that I heard it was a typical Korean grindfest with pretty graphics. Now that it's out for a couple years, you're right, I'm not going to go try to get involved in the PVP. Kinda a bit behind the curve for my taste. I was merely pointing out that I had no idea they had that kind of RVR. Now, you really need to work on unwadding those panties, you sound super rustled.

Graphics weren't totally awful, but man those animations really look silly.
you can critique anything by watching a video imo. i still watch videos of myself doing pve/pvp in swtor or pvp in daoc and it looks retarded... but man, it sure was engaging and fun while i was playing

Rigid character animations and level 1 combat gameplay have nothing to do with fun or engagement : I'm not going to have the same fun or experience the same engagement watching a blurred 720p Elder Scrolls Online level 1 video than playing the game by myself. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make there, everyone can watch a leaked video, it's much more objective than any written review fromsuspicious insiders.

Yes, that's exactly what he's talking about... he's saying that you'll need to alt-tab and open a web browser to access the cash shop. What I don't understand is that this dumb cunt knows better, he knows the instant a player thinks about looking for a payment method outside of the in-game currency all immersion is broken -- instantly. Heknowsit. Yet still tries to pass a non-game invasive cash shop off as a feature.
This is the reason that the initial sub model worked so god damned well for EQ, we paid a sub, and got access to everything. We never had to think about paying for the game past "do I still have money on my CC to pay my sub for this month -- I'll eat more sui-men noodles this month".
I still also cannot believe that you had to even ask/pose the question "unless it happens outside the game".

Worse. The player might think twice about buying the item if he has to go thru additional loops (like finding bookmark, logging in, using the authenticator if any, navigating menus...). Impulse buy for the win!

Although I wonder how long it will take for them to 180 on the paywall for typically free features like PS4. Also, Sony will still have a paywall now for multiplayer, but they have allowed sub based MMORPG's a bypass.

High cost extremely short duration. Much shorter than even GW2 and no way to really stack it (fields) for longer duration.
