I have no idea if you are a shill or not but at this point it would actually be better for you to be a shill because if you aren't your seriously in trouble. You are like a women who lies to herself so much she ends up believing her own lies. You can see it in your posts every time something pops up and it's SO crystal clear that it sucks you will spin it however you can to make it acceptable.

I think Lawrence Schick is cool, but I didn't post his vid (the first one) or bump this thread. I know you love to bait me so I'll bite. Developers who have worked on this game have specifically told me that this is the same retardation that perpetuates design. No longer talking about those who used to work on this game and left, but those that work on it today to get a shipped title on the resume. I heard someone honestly puked when they saw this was how it was being promoted. Viral marketing in this way is a great way to see a train wreck. Right?

Lawrence Schick is a decent guy. What he was forced to do here is an embarrassment. He also is a writer. For pen and paper. He spent 11 years as a freelance. He spent a few years making RPGs for microprose. Darklands failed. Not due to his design, but due to microprose who should have stuck to simulations. I played those. What's your experience with Darklands Blackwulf? Would love to hear it since you played through his mods for pen and paper.
By the way, Todd Howard had a lot to do with his hiring.

1 - You've been where 14 years? The internet? Congrats..?
2 - I said Schick and those posts of circa 1980 D&D modules were awesome. The video was 'meh' to me. I like ES, so I thought it was mildly amusing, but I'd much rather hear more details about what the dev team is doing to the current game build.
3 - I never played Darklands. Thanks for asking. I played a lot of pen and paper D&D in the 80's and early 90's. Been trying to get a game going on a bi monthly basis, but real life is a bitch and always is interfering with one member of our group or another. I'm gonna dig out some of my old modules though, as these images made me nostalgic as fuck.

I'm definitely not a fan of those videos. Reminds me of 'this is what your brain would look like on drugs' commercials in a way. Maybe this is, "Look what you have to do when you waste your retirement early folks", or something like that. Has nothing to do with the quality of the game but that is some awful viral advertising. Next they should have a video of LARPers going to 'war' and have this guy narrate the same awful shtick in the background.

Not the more sane ones of us. I've made my feelings on this game clear and see no reason to continue posting in this thread. The people that like it will continue to defend it no matter what until they get to really play it and form a real opinion of it themselves. Now I just read this thread for the bashing because it amuses me.

I have a friend who is in it. She likes it - to give you her background, she goes back to EQ1. And she's actually quite infamous in EQ2.
I only talked with her for a brief moment about it, but her comments on it where that it was fun, that she enjoyed the different style of targeting gameplay. She said leveling was done through questing, and there's some of the "10 bear ass, next quest hub" style stuff, but that most of them are quests you pick up along the road or out in the wilderness. She said she got an email for another beta weekend, but is ignoring it because they keep wiping and she's tired of leveling 1-5 over and over.
Nothing new about it obviously, but figured I'd share it anyways.

You can really tell a lot about a game by leveling the same five levels over and over again. Either way, thanks for sharing her opinion. I can assure you the responsiveness of the Gcu/animation system has the same inherent problems swtor has, so she is full of shit.

You write for the site and have a vested interest in not passing anyone off. I would say you are biased. If not forced to be biased now.
You know, since you played, these modules were frame works for a good DM. With that said let me know if you get an axis and allies group together.

The primary author of AD&D 2nd edition,Dave Cook, also works at Zenimax. I guess that Todd Howard guy likes hiring old school PnP guys.
Anyway, I think those vids are cheesy too, but there's probably a bunch of RP fanatics that love that kind of stuff.
