This entire thread and project itself is one gigantic troll.

Which is now 100% complete as we have had a McDonald's comparison and probably somewhere in this gigantic shitpile of a fucking mess, a used car analogy.

If orders come rolling in, Paul Sage and Matt Firor will just sit back with a smile and say, "We can do anything to these fucking people.... "

So using the current exchange rate, the standard edition costs us more than the imperial edition costs you. It is very tempting to ignore this game for that alone. Why are they charging us so much more than you for the same product with no (or minimal) distribution cost?
Might be an upcharge due to EU server costs.

Sad to say but with the state of mmos today and the lack of anything else to play, ill probably end up getting this. There is enough fun to be had in a new mmo, no matter how shitty it is, in the first few months.

This one is a bit more intriguing than wildstar and less of a wow clone. So I pick this one.

Wait... They won't have a $60 digital download with no extras? You sure about that?
Yeah the no extras one is $80 here. I just have a bad feeling about paying more than games usually cost for an mmo with no beta and an NDA 8 weeks before launch.

I never beta tested it.

Ill probably have more fun running with the goons trolling the shit out of everything in this game than any other mmo at the time.

If you generally like MMORPGs, you'll like this one too man. It's shallow, with less that stellar combat, and it is certainly nothing revolutionary, but it's acceptable. If you got a month out of GW2, you'll get a month (at least) out of this, too.

I wonder how their "main" feature (AvA) will be handled, regarding the latest beta weekend huge PR disaster.

If EQNL wasn't doing their alpha during this, I'd probably play just to play something until Wildstar. Hoping EQNL keeps me away from that as well but I really do want to see how close to vanilla that game ends up.

Meh, EQNL just does not do it for me. Im not into minecraft type of games. I want to fight and defeat shit. Ill leave the building to other saps. If I wanted to build shit, I would take up woodworking for a hobby.

you guys really, really need to try the beta before you buy - people saying combat is weird/wonky is not a euphemism, maybe for some people its ok but I found it so bad that I just didn't want to play. hopefully they fix it before launch, and then I guess maybe it might be worth it when it drops 50% after a month, but you are better off playing might and magic X now and whatever other new games come out around april.

I think there's gonna be more stress test weekends before the release no? Just get in one of these, they're mass inviting so you're likely to be able to test the game, then you can see if you like it or not. It's not like it'll be gone if you don't preorder now.

The only reason you wouldn't be able to easily play at launch is if they halted sales due to server overloading (like FFXIV:ARR and GW2 did). Although, launch week of a MMO is always a clusterfuck, so you're better off waiting a couple of weeks anyways.

However, due to their "mega server" technology, that shouldn't happen.

I'd say your best bet is to wait at least until some initial reviews are out. I'm very curious to see if "gaming journalism" continues to dig it's own hole by saying how "good" this game is.
