I had a big, swollen, red bump on the base of my neck, right in the center, below my Adam's apple. I noticed it a few days ago as it developed, and thought it was a gnarly zit, but it just kept getting bigger, redder, and more painful. Especially given the location; every time I swallowed, chewed, or moved my neck it hurt.

I could have waited until this morning, but I realized what it was and wanted to get antibiotics to start attacking it as soon as possible. I had a bad experience with a similar abscess last year, so I didn't want to waste time this time around.

On the positive side, late last night it finally came to a bit of a head and I was able to start draining it. It's so satisfying to feel the pockets of puss beneath the skin, and feel the puss move as you push it towards the little opening in the head, almost like pushing toothpaste out of a toothpaste tube.

I'm quite jealous, always fascinated by those types of video's. Course I watch a few and I'm good, somehow got my wife hooked and now she subscipes to a few different channels of all sorts of popping of various ailments video's.

A friend of mine had an abcess on the back of his neck which was staph that spread into some kind of other bacterial infection and had to be taken to an ER in an ambulance. Dude almost died from that shit. Better to just go in ASAP and have that kind thing taken care of.

Picked a Thai Chicken pizza at Papa Murphy's today. Not impressed not going to get it again.

Murphy's is great though. They always have coupon so you get a family size pizza for $12-13 and just the inconvenience of baking it for 20 minutes.

Don't be jealous. My abscess was the worst pain I've ever dealt with

GDI. I've been waiting impatiently for someone to change the goddamn subject and get this thread back on track so I could talk about my fast food dilemma, and for one second I thought TJT was finally the hero that we needed. I don't even care any more, I'm going to talk about fast food whether you assholes like it or not.

Culver's put sweet potato fries on the menu recently and I've tried them a couple times so far with mostly good results, but it feels like they're missing something. I'm pretty sure the only thing stopping them from being really awesome is that I don't know what sauce to dip them in. Ketchup isn't right, but I don't really know what else to try. Syrup maybe? Does anyone have any good ideas about sweet potato fries?

SP Fries are gross, I'd rather talk about abscesses more than SP fries.

I've had them with syrup, powdered sugar, cinnamon 'salt', honey mustard and marshmallow dip. The marsh dip with a light cinnamon dusting was the best I've tried.

Came here to look for ideas on what to eat tonight. Guess I'll just have nothing.

Slater's 50/50 serves their sweet potato fries with a pumpkin dipping sauce, I thought it was going to be nasty but damn it was good.

Other than that a light dusting of cinnamon/sugar works wonders on SP fries.

Honestly think going sweet is a lost endeavor even though most only have sweet style at holidays. The best I've had, is ones that don't go crazy with yuppy millenial seasonings. Just mainly SP fry maybe some pepper and I either like them plain or with a dab of ketchup (lighter than i would a fry which I drown)

I might be biased but when I was younger I used to oven bake sweet tater fries or baked potato style so I'm used to not drowning it in marshmallows like most crackers.

Compared to just about anything else especially just a regular potato, I'll gladly say they are not my favorite. I just forced myself to eat them for a while since they do have some favorable healthy shit in them numbers.

Sweet potatoes can be tolerable. That's the best I can say about them.

Net exactly fast food I guess but close enough. I got forced into going to overpriced bullshit Brunch this morning. The one redeeming quality of the place despite otherwise being a hipstery bullshit place. One liter Mimosa's and a usually tasty variety of sausage/breakfast foods.

Brunch is always overpriced. And to top it off most places that do a "brunch" menu don't actually do a brunch menu. It's just breakfast and they call it brunch.

That looks pretty good though.

I just heard an interview with Anthony Bourdain where he talked about how chefs hate working brunch but restaurants want to do it because it's a big money maker. You serve the same shit you do at breakfast, but throw in a cheap mimosa and double the price.

Austin has total brunch fever. More than any other city ive lived in. This is the trendy bar street and only this place used to be the brunch spot in this part of town.

Now literally every bar on this street. Even the one built entirely out of shipping containers. Has brunch.
