My Hardee's literally has 2-3 people working it at any time past 2pm. Like completely ghost town. So it'll take 5+ minutes to make you your food, but it's fresh and it actually looks like they gave a shit prepping it. It actually looks like it does in the commercial and shit, so that's cool.
But if you show up at fucking lunch time...
INFINITY PEOPLE. Like, just 8 people in the drive thru, 20+ people inside. The construction/manual labor crowd comes and stocks up on their man calories during lunch. So whoever did their "FUCK YOUR TINY SALADS GET SOME MEAT" marketing like 10 years ago figured out a good niche.
That said, their burgers are usually pretty salty, but the specialty ones are always worth a try. Some being really good and worth a revisit or two. If you aren't into that, they got them good ass curly fries.

So I went to Wakanda King tonight and got a Whopper and one of their new Grilled Chicken Sandwiches for $6 deal. It was alright although I had to wait for like 10 min while I was watching the 3 nogs inside stuffing themselves with some fries and shit. I guess the supervisor was off.

One of the rare times we felt like going to BK, we stopped by the one on the way to our LGS. Tiny place and in sort of a sketch looking location on that particular street. Went in and the whole staff is young black guys, looked like your typical kind of thuggy dudes. Turns out they were all friendly as fuck, orders came out super quick and correct, the store itself was fucking spotless inside. We go back every now and then and it's super consistent, never gotten our orders wrong, food's always fresh and the guys are always friendly, chatting us up while our order's in the works. It blew my damn mind.

Bacon N Cheese Double. Shake is also a good choice. They're all pretty damn good. I like a strawberry-banana half & half but the specialty ones are really good too. I like to get the cheese sauce smothering my fries but not sure how that would work in a drive-thru.

Well, the drive thru was more for the fast-food flavor of the thread. I guess going inside and sitting down...it's more like a diner and less fast food?
There's only a few places with drive-thrus on my way home that I would bother stopping at. Steak and Shake might be one of them. Other stuff I'm not interested in (Panda Express) or it's out of the way

Frisco melt and whatever seasonal milkshake they have. They used to have a baller Smores one with pieces of Smores cereal in it. Think they don't do that anymore.

One of the McDonalds near me is so freaking show, I've now determined never to go there again. Last time I went through, it was about 4:30, so before the dinner rush. It took 39 minutes to get through the drive through. The time before, when I saw there was a huge line at the drive through and no one inside, I thought I'd be clever and go inside to get the foot. Too 40 minutes because they were only calling orders to get the drive through unjamed.
Oh, well. There are several others, and they have their shit together.

one insider tip they'll tell you is that, your instore experience pales to what they aim to achieve for drive thru.
all stores are graded/rated on their drive thru performance, and that means getting the order from start to completion, in as quick as possible.
So if drive thru is long, you're NOT gonna get bettter in store orders, in fact you'll be ignored and they'll probably skip your queue to pump out drive thru orders instead.
unless they're a bombass operation like chik fil a, them fuckers go up to 11 and still serve you with a smile.

In amazing news how long has Taco Bell had their Beef Crunch Burrito? Has tons of the red Fritos in it. Was amazing with extra hot sauce.

My suggestion is to use the app. Pre-order everything on the app and pay for it and have them deliver it to your car (sitting in one of the numbered waiting spots). They're very prompt about this.
