There's a Greek joint near me that has feta fries. It's powdered feta on hot fries so the feta melts on top but the fries stay crispy. Very good.Visited a relative and went to a sit down restaurant on the square in Denton. Relative ordered cheesy fries with sauce, which I typically despise, cause inevitably the fries end up being soggy and I hate soggy fries. Was pleasantly surprised when it turned out the fries got covered in powdered cheese and the sauce was a dipping sauce, so the fries remained nice and crisp. Why doesn’t anywhere else do this? Anyways, I can definitely recommend lone star burger, since I know there’s a few posters in the area.

Do you actually eat this much in one sitting dude?Surprisingly high quality tonight even for Japan, the nuggets and sauce are both delightful.

Pulled pork is great. I usually just blast mine in the insta pot with some pineapple and vinegar, to make it a fairly neutral flavor. From there, I spice and flavor it how I want for each meal. Smoked is probably my favorite way of eating it, but if I smoke a whole pork butt I get tired of the flavor before I’m done eating it all, so generally only do that if I’m going to a family thing. Pork butt reheats pan frying real well. Can't remember which thread had someone talking up using pork shoulder pork for cheap meals. At only $2/lb I feel motivated to make it work. Be it in a slow cooker with brand or what

You can smoke anything. Baking a whole shoulder takes a long time. 250 for around 8 hours is what I do, keep in mind it’ll leak a lot of juices, and you want to cover it in foil. I tend to use the instapot cause I can just throw in half a pork shoulder frozen, I always cut my pork shoulders in half when it’s me mostly eating them.I'm a horrible make as far as cooking meat.
Can you just smoke the shoulders? I pretty much only bake/ stove top. Havnt had a grill in 20 years, never had a smoker. Doesn't help wife hates pork except for stove smoked we got from her work we did in with apot of beans that was amazing and sausage.
So I might be happy just buying for me to jazz up ramen or whatever. Just list on what would taste good cooking wise if I just wanted to put it with rice and beans.
insta after you smoked it? Bare in the pot or in brine or something. I'm also one of those tards that mostly uses it as a glorified rice cooker. You can smoke anything. when I reheat it, I usually add in a splash of water or other liquid and mix in spices I want with the pork on high heat. Then when the water had boiled off I add in a dab of bacon fat or some other oil/fat so it gets a little crispy. Whole process takes maybe three minutes. Goes good with anything, though it’s hard to beat having it on a bun with some bbq and red onions. I assume that’s sliced up. It’ll probably cook differently.

In my defence, a lot of my cooking habits cone from starting off poor in adult hood and despite making decent money loathe spending what feels like a lot of meat, so generally I eat a lot of burger, sausage, bacon b4 covid prices, fish/ chicken.Take a pork loin, cut it into 1/2 inch thick chops. Season however you like (just some salt and pepper will do). Put it on a propane grill dead middle medium heat for 7-8 minutes, flip once and wait 7-8 more. If they come out a little overdone just decrease the time by 1 minute on either side (not both). Do this until you know how long 1/2 inch of meat takes to cook on your grill. Now you are good for any meat of the same thickness. Then you can start trying thinner and thicker cuts. It will only take you a few times grilling before you know it in and out.
You are in Oklahoma, right? If you don't have a propane grill just look at Walmart, Target, or Home Depot for a 2 or 4 burner on sale. As long as the reviews are above 3.5 stars and it is under $200 then you are good to go. No sense throwing down for anything more expensive until you know you can do it and like the stuff you cook on it.

Cook one way or the other, both seems a bad idea. Generally, I throw half a pulled pork into an instant pot and do about 90 minutes. I add in a small can of pineapple juice, a good splash of apple cider vinegar, and enough broth or water for the pressure cooker to do it’s thing. About a cup of liquid is probably plenty. You need the water to steam and build pressure, otherwise it’ll just burn your meat. You don’t get the Smokey flavor or bark that you would smoking, but it’s way faster and easier, and is super tender and delicious imo. If your meat is sliced, I’d set it to like 60 minutes. Can always add more time if its not super tender. If you want to be cheap, just add like a cup of water in. Even then you’ll still get a super tender and delicious pork flavor, which is perfect with some bbq.insta after you smoked it? Bare in the pot or in brine or something.
