The Fast Food Thread

They have strict timelines that food can sit out for. At BK it was something like 20 minutes in the steamer. I imagine that's the reason they don't want to do this, they'll either have to make it to order or risk large losses.

There is also a ton of overlap of ingredients in their current menu. At all fast food places really. There are some building blocks and the stuff is made off these few items. Breakfast throws a huge fuck you into that plan because it requires so much specific stuff.

I've definitely gotten McNuggets that were sitting out for longer than 20 minutes, I'll tell you what!

Right, teenagers manning the shit and not caring are part of that. It wasn't like some dude came over with a stopwatch and whistle to get us to throw shit out. It was a suggested time.

Is anything actually cooked in-store these days? I'd imagine most fast food places are simply re-heating pre-cooked frozen shit.

That's why I said 20 minutes. They won't have the capacity to have a full breakfast menu along with everything else. It's not how any of the restaurants are designed. So if they offer it, it would have to be made fresh, as the burgers are taking the spots of all the sausages.

That's why you go drive-thru. Most of them have a fucking hustle policy and they're not supposed to keep people waiting over X amount of time. Usually in the 1-2 minute range. If you go drive-thru you're bound to shave off some minutes, even if there's many cars. The only risk then is that you don't actually get the shit you asked for. But one time instead of two big macs they gave me two double quarter pounders, two large fries, and 2 cheeseburgers. I didn't notice until I was a few blocks away getting at them car-fries. It was a great day.

They don't just make you pull up and they'll "bring you your food"? Everytime they do that they'll say it'll be x minutes and I'm usually walking in 2x minutes later.

Fuck you Ronald! Fuck you for the 10+ pounds I am about to gain.

Their Breakfast Menu is better than the rest of their menu by far, not even close.

My intuition tells me that certain items will probably be priced higher now, though. "Due to demand" or some shit I'm sure. As long as it's reasonable I am okay with the sacrifice. I was fine with the McDouble $1 to $1.19 jump. It had to happen eventually.

OMG.. Egg McMuffins whenever I want, and not just on days I have to get up early? Yes please!

Also:

Taco Bell is in the midst of testing out new Ghost Pepper and Habernero sauces in a new menu item that they're calling the "Daredevil Loaded Griller."

The new test item has been spotted out in the greater Cincinnati area of Ohio.

It's basically the Beefy Nacho Griller but with one of three spicy sauces. Specifically, each Daredevil Loaded Griller features a filling of seasoned beef, nacho cheese, red tortilla strips, and either Chipotle, new Habanero, or new Ghost Pepper sauce. Chipotle is the mildest of the bunch, while Ghost Pepper is meant to be the spiciest.

The Daredevil Loaded Grillers are selling for a buck a piece and is also available a Daredevil Deal, which includes a Griller and a medium fountain drink for $2. There's also a $5 Buck Box which includes a Daredevil Loaded Griller, a Dortios Locos Taco Supreme, Crunchy Taco, and medium drink for $5.

Dunno how hot they are going to be, especially the Ghost Pepper one. The spiciest fast food item I've ever had was probably the habanero quarter pounder that McD's used to have. That shit was boss.

EXCLUSIVE: Everything You Need To Know About Taco Bell's New Fried Chicken Items

surprised this wasn't posted, unless I happened to miss it. Had one of the Double Crispy Chicken Quesadilla today on one of my bi-weekly trips to the bell. It was good, but if I didn't see what I was eating I wouldn't have known it was a chicken quesadilla from taco bell other than the sauce. Going to try the others on my other trip!
I mentioned this about 10 pages back. The chipotle one is fucking awesome. Spicier than I thought it was be (not overwhelming, just spicier than what I expect at Taco Bell).

I had one of the chicken wrap things at Taco Bell last week. It cost way too much. Was like 1.89 and should have been 99 cents. Otherwise it was decent ... I got the spicy ranch

The only one that interested me was the Jalapeno Honey sauce. Although the chicken looks like it's the crappiest frozen chicken tenders you can get at the store variety.
