In the comics, Barry Allen is the flash; hes a blond white guy. Wally West is Kid Flash; hes a red haired white guy. I never heard of any black flash until they inexplicably made Iris and Wally West black on the TV show.

Are there some comics out there with a black flash now? Is this some new 52 thing?

Jay Garrick was the first Flash. 1940-1956. Barry was created then.
Barry was the Flash until 1985... He died in Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Wally, Who was Kid Flash in the Teen Titans, took up the Mantle of The Flash.
Bart Allen took over as Kid Flash.
Wally has kids.

Flash:Rebirth brings Barry back, (from Final Crisis) Barry takes back over as the Flash. Wally mostly retired.

Barry destroys the local multiverse with Flashpoint.
nu52 created.
He erases Wally from reality. Barry is not married to Iris.

A teen aged black Wally shows up eventually. then is shown to have died in the future.


DC rebirth coming up..
Wally is coming back as Kid Flash.

Jay = First flash is the ideal man from the 1950's ?
Barry = Not the fastest but his intelligence makes him defeat other speedsters
Wally = Faster then Barry but goofy
Bart = Fastest but didnt live long

I have no clue why they didnt just make a new flash that was black

I think the man in the mask is jay too, or at least the same actor. But is it possible the purpose of the mask is because he has some powers that are activated by speaking? For instance, earlier in the thread someone mentioned a speedster who had to recite the speed formula.

Best part of the episode was all the cisco lines imo. Also do we think his dad mentioning Garrick being his mothers maiden name actually mean anything or just a little joke?

Well the man in the iron mask is Barry's father. Why do they even bother acting like someone is dead when they show the previews right after lol.

Yep i agree with it being Barrys Father - we knew it wasnt Wally and I dont see how there would be 3 Jays running around but with that comment its almost assuredly Barrys pop.

yeah, that got my attention, then i realized its likely one of those big foam wonderbras and she probably has a liddle rack.

at this point, im tired of zoom and his selective destruction. apparently his idea of conquering worlds is killing everyone but joe inside the central city police station/donut shop.
