After the fight with the Rogues, I'm now nitpicky of the fights, I'm just looking for reasons to nerdrage. He got shot by a bullet? He'd have heard the bullet and moved before it landed. Also, he would run up to her, and then just kind of pause in front of her, and then she'd teleport. He can move faster than a speeding bullet and process things 1000x faster than normal humans. Why the pause?
Someone talk me off of the ledge with this show. Am I missing something? Once I start nerdraging, I can't stop it.

That's a pretty damn good looking Grodd...that and they are doing some pretty cool things with the Firestorm effects as well. I noticed that CW did not have any new DC properties in their list of announced pilots a couple days ago. Perhaps they aren't going to spin anything off quite yet, or perhaps they don't feel the need to do traditional pilots anymore.

Well, it was a girl and a teleporter. So he's gonna be hesitant to punchify her right off the bat and her power is something all new to him so he's doubly hesitant. I can make excuses for this one, not for running back and forth past guys with guns.
As for the bullet, another new thing to him. I believe someone here mentioned the Flash instinctively reacting to bullets/threats that actually touch him and that was just introducing the idea I believe. Also it let him drop the line about being much faster than a speeding bullet.
Also this really came to mind
I mean, metal guy and evil genius and killer smoke etc were all people just acting evil on their own. This girl comes off way more as just a naive girlfriend of a bad seed. Someone that should be relatively easy to try and rehabilitate, in a TV show. If they don't revisit her pretty quickly it's not going to look good for the good guys.

Big props to the show runners for not bitching out and half assing Grodd like most networks would or fox with characters like Galactus ect. Most people would just show an ape in a cage and have that be it.
Also kind of odd that they brought in Linda Park for Barry Allen when she is linked with Wally West, regardless I would rather see her over Isis easily

i would advise you to stop being such an astrocreep and just enjoy the fucking show.
this was an awesome episode. the bit about locking up a naive girl. she has multiple priors and she is dangerous as fuck, especially when her bf is involved. keep her ass on lockdown. the scenes with barry and his dad was best, though karaoke night and grodd are right up there. i wonder if grodd is snacking on those city workers brains?

The point wasn't that she shouldn't be locked up. Obviously the cops can't hold on to someone like her. The point was she seems to have been intentionally presented as redeemable. They can't just lock everyone up forever, she seems like the obvious choice for someone to show some nuance on their treatment.

they couldnt have barry hook up with drunken kaitlin. for one, the SJWs would be screaming at the CW for condoning daterape. for another her storyline is linked with ronnie raymond. i guess they dont want that kind of love triangle especially if firestorm is not a villain.

Meh, she was hinting pretty hard at looking for "someone new" at the end of the episode. I was not talking about hooking while she's drunk, but more about him being the uber nice guy and not having a clue whatsoever.

i think she would totally hook up with barry, but the guy is clueless and he is pining for iris. he could have knocked boots with felicity, but he loves iris. this new chick seems more into barry than he is with her.

The running joke with comic book nerds is that The Flash is premature, so what are we talking about here?
For the vast majority of cases, bullets travel significantly faster than the noise the firing makes. If you dodge when you hear the gunshot, it's already hit you. Sorry, but this gets a -4/10 for nerdrage quality ;p
