i saw Pray For Death in the theater, was just us kids in there. it was rated R but i guess because there wasnt any sex in it, they didnt give a fuck if we saw dudes beheaded and cut to ribbons. pretty much the same with the kungfu movies they played on regular TV. i still cant believe they let some of those films air back then. my favorite was Mortal Combat or Crippled Avengers, lots of gore in that one. right on network TV.

I have the dvd. And on a side note: first world problem - My Xbox one doesn't like to play it because its a shitty dvd and not a bluray so if I want to watch it I need to go buy a shitty dvd player and install it.Fuck. Yes. That movie hasn't been available forever.
Bruce Lee, Samo Hung, and Jackie Chan kinda changed the way Kung Fu movies were told. They moved away from the over the top cheese, fight scenes got much better imo, and moved kung fu into different genres.
I just watched Alien Nation the other night because the wife had never seen it. Chalk up another movie that couldn't be made today. The main character is a racist and not the villain? Newp. James Caan and Patankin do a great job in this. "This fits? Its made of rubber, it stretches. And still it fits?"
Its a cool movie and Caan does a very good job, but i think they filmed that movie with a potato. Its been probably 30 years and i remember thinking, why does every scene look so shitty? I`m sure they wanted that dark and gritty setting to look the part, i think they went overboard.I just watched Alien Nation the other night because the wife had never seen it.
