If Putin wins out in Ukraine (which would effectively end western hegemony in Europe), I might agree with him being in the running. I still think the non has to go to Joe or Catherine, at present.

Why? Russia lost Ukraine as a puppet state relatively recently.

Ending western hegemony would be taking over a NATO member. Russia is struggling to take Ukraine, there is no way that's happening.

I think that Stalin is an interesting choice but I think that Russia is better that just being backwards half tartars ruled by dictators, why not a great writer of which they have no shortage.
