I fired this up. It's pretty fun so far. Can't decide on what to play though with the mix and matching of classes.

Seems kinda cool but I would imagine makes a big difference if you solo vs group.

I would think best tank would be something like War/Monk/?SK for mitigation/dodge/self healing but that sounds much shittier to play solo than something with heals.

Also curious what kinda weird broken shit Bard does lol

Been playing for a bit now. This is pretty fun. You're overpowered but it's not so significant that it's stupid. it's actually pretty balanced. Playing a paladin/cleric/monk

I like the powersource slot can upgrade gear. Ranger/bard/magician is good stuff so far.

yea upgrading items by putting them in power source slot cool idea
3 class limit vs chainbreakers unlimited much better imo

the only thing i dont like, only because im new, is the retribution server changes that im not familiar with... changes to aa's, items, procs etc - something a lot of other people have much more knowledge on... not a huge deal tho, not like getting max lvl and AAs quickly (or farming plat) really has any meaning...

Thinking SK, BST, CLR for multiclass? Does that cover everything?

edit: NM the modern game is way too confusing for me

Started yesterday already. I need to redo my composition, but is fun so far. Shm, SK, Mag.
I also saw a Mag, NEC, Bst with 3 pets, kinda funny aswell.

Dammit every time I think I’ve broken away from EQ forever, servers like this pop up and I get the itch. 3 class combo sounds really fun. If I’m just going to dink around solo, would clr/rog/sk be viable (Heals, op hammer pet apparently, 2h backstab, plate, fd and sos), or would I be better off with something like clr/mnk/xx (fill in the blank)? I’m always overthinking this and I haven’t even downloaded the server files yet…

I wonder which classes would benefit most from mixing in Shaman for Canni, especially in POP+ when it's one giant Canni. Maybe something weird like Wiz/Sham/Ranger blasting Wiz nukes but taking advantage of infinite mana + jolt?

So i ended up forcing myself to figure out the UI and in game maps and shit for this modern EQ. Once i learned how to go back to original character models I was set. Still confused on a lot of shit and don't really know what i'm doing but i've got my SK/CLR/BST up to like lvl 5 and also i made a MNK/SHM/NEC but the server is coming down so haven't had a lot of time with it.

it's interesting thinking about the different class synergies and what would work but keep in mind my mindset is from 2001 around Luclin time frame I have no idea how the classes continue to evolve and what their niches/strengths/etc become later on.
