One thing that going through the entirety of PoP (I skipped a lot of flags when it was live and also never did Time or Rathe Council) has shown me is what a fucking masterclass of an expansion that thing was.
After the complete and utter shitfest that was Luclin, they nailed the fuck out of PoP. There's so much goddamn content, the zones are huge (except PoWater, lol - forgot how tiny that zone is really), etc. It's amazing the way they structured/tiered it - there's group content, small raid content, full raid content, scripted events, fun lore, badass looking Gods, insanely cool looking zones (especially considering the graphics at the time) etc. It's insane how well they executed it, considering the year it was released. I know multiple encounters were broken and not functioning well, but still..just insane they pulled all this off in fucking 2002.
Without a doubt, it's definitely the pinnacle of EQ, IMO.
